Been to this place many times over the last few years. Enjoyed the chicken and the chips. Especially the quarter chicken and chips combo.Good value for money for the amount of chips with the chicken served. Value is added when ordering the whole chicken for the family. Save the cooking for the meat.Very good business and the staffs are all very friendly.Recommended chicken and chips joint for everyone living near the Pinewood shopping area.

Cozy dine in burger joint that makes great burgers , wings and fries

Its Friday night, it’s been a long week and sometimes all you need is a good burger. So we headed to the newest burger shop on the block, Pounders. Nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of Glen Waverley, Pounders is a humble burger shop that offers simple tasty burgers done right.Sitting down and a little hungry, we may have went a little overboard and had our way with the menu, because you know – we love our burgers. We’ll give you the rundown of what we thought…We started simple with just a few sides, Juddy’s Buffalo Wings, Beer Battered Chips, Onion Rings and you know a little something extra that was off menu – Chicken Strips that came with Coleslaw and Fries.Juddy’s Buffalo WingsWe had the spicy wings covered in saucy goodness, be prepared to get your hands dirty! If you love wings you’ll love these.Beer Battered ChipsSimple straight forward good old fashioned chips that will go great well with whatever burger you order.Onion RingsThese took us back to old school burger shops and we loved them every last one.Chicken StripsThese off menu strips were great, we definitely recommend it – comes with a simple mayo dipping sauce that goes really well together.Done with the sides we moved on to why we were really there, a few burgers. With so many delicious sounding burgers to choose from we had to get some help, so we asked the people that know best – the guys behind the counter who recommended the Burger Off, Yank Tank, Hot Mama and a Philly Cheesesteak and this would give us a taste of everything.Burger OffSimple straight forward burger that was deliciously simple, a great burger to start out on.Hot MamaWanting to break up all the beef we opted to try a little spicy chicken, the Hot Mama had a nice spicy bite to it.Yank TankDouble up on the beef and cheese, add bacon and some BBQ sauce and you got yourself a burger to beat the hunger.Philly CheesesteakThis one is not like the others, while the Cheesesteak is not a burger it is a great addition to the menu. Channelling its roots, the Cheesesteak is smothered in melted cheese and juicy strips of steak, surrounded by a soft crispy roll. We definitely recommend this for anyone stopping in or not wanting a burger. On a side note, we loved the way they put together their burgers, from the bottom up – bun, lettuce, mayo, patty/chicken, sauces, anything else that might be take your fancy and capped off with the other half of the bun. Sounds straight forward but keeping things separated allows you taste everything. Think about it and try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. All in all we ate too much but it was worth it for tasty burgers and spicy wings. Now you know a little more about the burgers, here’s the cherry on top. Pounders knows you love a late night snack so they stay open late (usually around 3am) so you can get your burger fix any time you like – you can head on in or order via Uber Eats and don’t forget to get a side of wings they won’t disappoint.
