Presents as a Cuban restaurant with linkage to I luv Lucy, and shows videos on the wall that provides that context. Definitely a popular place. We experienced slow drink delivery and I found that the churasseo was also disappointing. We did also have several of the tapas as part of the group, which were ok. Hate to have saw this place go down hill. Food has become mediocre at best and service is lacking. Lots of turn over in employees now and service has suffered. Last couple of visits there has only been one server covering entire restaurant. Constant order problems getting the right food. Price variations from visit to visit on same items. Lack of service has become a big issue. Food taste and quality are defiantly lacking. They did post a sign on the door asking people to give complaints to the owners and thanking everyone for there buisness, however they should be able to see the issues and know what's going on in their resturant. I hope it gets better soon this was a great place once.

Great Mexican restaurant!!! I always order the same thing, which is a P5 (chicken, rice & cheese)...you can never go wrong with that!!! Very convenient and close to where I live!!! Definitely recommend this restaurant!!!

The food and service are excellent. The wait staff are efficient and go out of their way to accommodate you. The food is as near to authentic Mexican as you will find on this side of the border. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area, some good, others not so good. This one is the Very best of the best.

What a fun place!! Lots of families seem to gather here after church. There was a buffet as well as ordering from a menu. A live musician played from a corner stage as well as wandering through the tables of diners.Service was friendly, helpful and excellent. Food was plentiful and very good.A fun, lively and friendly place. Try it!!!

We always have a great experience at this restaurant! Our last trip was for my daughters bday and they were of course in cahoots with me of the typical whip cream to the face bday tradition! Food was awesome and came out quickly! Its our definite go to place for mexican food.

Went for breakfast on the way ou of town. Usually satisfied with Taco Bell. Asked for my order and the breakfast menu wasn't avaiable at 9am in drive thru. Sent some one out to change ws his first time and a little clueless. Ordered, when i pulled up to the drive thur, everything had to be repeated and not sure if they had even started cooking. Entry was hot, hashbrowns were fried to a crisp. THE worst Taco Bell I have visited!

First visit to Mississippi and decided to stay at a new Hampton Inn just outside Jackson, MS. in Richland. There are other chain hotels clustered here and every type of fast food you might want nearby. We were looking for an eat-in restaurant that was not a buffet, and has a bar. Casa Jovita is in a shopping center with a few fast food restaurants and other retail stores so we were skeptical, but upon looking in the window we were impressed. It is a NEW (5 months open) full service restaurant with bar (at least Margaritas and beer). The menu is quite extensive with many, many choices of traditional Mexican food. We had fajitas with shrimp, beef, and chicken delivered on a sizzling skillet and a "Super" Quesadilla. Preceded by chips and a carafe of ultra-fresh made salsa - emphasize fresh ingredients! The main dishes were served quickly, hot, as on the menu and delicious. Sides of salad, rice and refried beans were ok - nothing to rave about. The restaurant appears to be one of the largest in the area, was nicely decorated, Mexican motif, and great atmosphere. It looks like they have buffet some nights, but not the night we visited. Prices quite reasonable - $37 for above plus 4 beers including tax. NOTE: this is not to be confused with a couple of other fast-food Mexican take-out places we saw nearby. This is not a high cuisine dining experience, but from the looks of the other places nearby it was definitely the best. We'd go back if ever in the area again.

This is a small, pleasantly decorated restaurant with the best guacamole ever (mild, chunks of guacamole, hint of lime). It also served beer (one of a few restaurants serving alcohol in this dry city). The chili releno was excellent and the burrito above average. Our waiter was pleasant and efficient, and the price was unbelievably low for the quality of food.
