We loved the place, great setting with a view over the valley, excellent service, very good wines and great food! We had various starters and they we all outstanding. So far the best restaurant we have been to in Peloponnes.

A taverna at the far left of the harbour that has it all: a deck right down on the waters edge where you can swim and have a swower!! Absolutely fabulous food from Alexandra that cooks for the tavern the last 38 years!! Such a relaxing place that you can sit for hours there ! Private parking and playground for the children! Visitors can breath in the romantic atmosphere and smell the sea in this magic salty paradice! Traditional recipes will temp your palate and delight your senses! The best view you can get day and night in the area! Always nice temp because of its position that always gets fresh breeze !!

Went twice here whilst we stayed in Stoupa, had heard about the Asian nights , so gave it a try , it did not disappoint, stunning setting, great chilli chicken , excellent service , will defo return next year , loved it , thank you

The food is delicious! We shared greek appetizers and there were the best in our trip so far. The atmosphere was very calm at the moment because it is not located in the noisy street.
I totally recommend this place if you are looking for typical gourmet greek food.

Went to La Cucina last night and both had a very nice pizza and salad. Very popular (full) restaurant and nice setting at sunset. Will be going again later this week to try their pasta!

Greek local traditional cuisine with daily fresh dishes for lunch and warm dishes for dinner. Most of the day dishes finish early, but during the summer we are operating longer time and we prepare fresh dish such as mousaka, eggplant with cheese in the oven, fresh cooked vegetables , twice or three time per day.. Monday to Friday from 8 a.M. Till 11:30 p.M. , Saturday from 8 a.M. Till 7 p.M., Sunday is usually closed, but sometimes we open - occasionally. Call if you need more info.

This restaurant is in the city center. It seems very popular among the locals.
On our first visit we ordered beef ragu and chicken. For drinks we ordered beer and red wine. The dishes were tasteful and the beer ice-cold.
The second visit was a week later. We ordered lamb in tomato sauce and chicken filet with mashed potatoes. Once more the dishes were tasteful
Both times some dishes on the menu were not available because they were sold out during lunch. Maybe they should prepare more of the most popular dishes?
This is a nice, typical greek restaurant. Absolutely worth a visit.

Every time we go to To Kastro, we have a disappointment concerning the menu's although day after day the do reprint the menu with the date of the day!
In fact the do almost never change the contempt of the menu, which is not nice for locals as we are.
Furthermore 'home wines' are of low quality and even a bottle of wine is of no quality and not worth the price.
It is a pity as we notice that the son (also a cook) of the house is incredibly active, runs around to serve his clients with a big smile and nothing is too much for him!
His father has a different mentality and dares to say :wine is wine...
The father urgently needs an education in whine tasting and obviously will discover what some not expensive wines really can stand for!
We want to give a chance to this son... by saying instead of serving he should be inside the kitchen, serve less precooked meals like stews. During summer time people expect light innovative recipes and a choice of creative salads! we are convinced that with these ideas they will become successful in a different way and differenciate from their competitors.

We loved this restaurant and visited three times during our recent holiday. We tried two other restaurants in this location and this was by far the best. The setting, looking out to sea, is just perfect and the food and service was excellent. Everything we tried was extremely tasty and the Fava that we had on our last evening as a starter was the best I've ever had. The zucchini balls were also very good as was the grilled local cheese. A really lovely traditional taverna with food cooked and presented with care.

Excellent grilled lamb with rosemary and Greek salad. Very tasty soup offered "on the house." They have a parking lot which is very helpful since it is quite difficult to park in Stoupa. Will be returning on a Thurs. night when they have live Greek music.

Stopped in late night with the hubster. Greeted by the son whom introduced us to his mother, the amazing KatRina herself. What two beautiful people. Another son was there but he was very busy.
Keira KatRina encouraged me to try her Zucchini balls, which I used to love until I had some in the oldest restaurant in Nafplio and they must have been from their opening day. Totally turned me off from eating them. KatRina said hers are the best. I fell in love with zucchini balls all over again. Brava! And my non fish eating husband gobbled up the grilled fish. Every dish was superbly prepare. This is fine dinning at Mama's. We live to the East but we plan to return soon. KatRina sat and chatted with us but I think we may have kept her up.
Yes, one may say that the food is pricy, but you get what you pay for. In my humble opinion, from east to west-north to south; KatRina's Taverns is the best in all the land!
