Reviewed By Ed1982_10Location: across the street of Magong South Sea pier, where boats depart to the oulier islands. Supermarket is on the next block, and seafood street is just 3 min walk away. Rooms: booked the port view, and had a big balcony sans lounge chairs. Looking at the sunrise from the bed gets you in vacation mood. Wifi is fast and stable, and the room spotless. The pool and kids recreation center is located on 7th floor. However, due to wind tunnel effect in between buildings, the limitless pool is not filled to the top and quite chilly during winter months. Breakfast is on the second floor, and there is much selection. Free parking for staying guests is in the basement. There is a car rental desk next to the lobby and hotel also has scheduled complimentary shuttle to airport. Staff are very well mannered, from entry guard, lobby, restaurant and entertainment center.

Reviewed By Paul Seungwook LAlthough it was a low season in Penghu, the hotel is worth staying. Provided with free airport pickup and sending, very kind and helpful staff were around you. Decent breakfast including seafood porridge also.

Small hotel with great location
Reviewed By dgoul1Great little hotel in the heart of Makong the main city of Penghu Island. Very modern stylish rooms with flat screen TV, comfortable beds, and good A/C. Very affordable as well with rates ranging from 45-100 USD per night even in peak season. My only complaint is that there was no WiFi in the rooms. Lobby has free WiFi with good connection speed. Immediately adjacent to the hotel is a small Japanese restaurant with excellent food. Many other restaurants within walking distance. Very limited English so bring your Mandarin phrasebook if you don't speak the language.

Reviewed By PnoEnsThrough my friend's recommendation, I just stayed at this premise for a 3-day/2-nite reunion trip. Upon the arrival, the friendly receptionists greeted us and offered to store our luggage. Later in the evening, the check-in was a breeze after our first course of sea fishing and tidal pool fish catching around the block-rocks in the afternoon. Once we got into the 7th floor, we were amazed by the elegant decor that reflected the local sceneries. The little balcony came with a swing with splendid view to the MaGong Harbor and sea of Taiwan Strait. The room, in addition to a Queen Bed, was spacious with comfortable day-couch - firm and inviting for a nap. The AC was so powerful and almost made want to take a nap in this humid and blazing hot weather. 42" flat screen with all the cable channels (HBO, CNN, Cinemax, etc.) were included. The included wifi was impressively fast and FREE, not just in the lobby, but also in the room. I was able to keep up with all my friends via Email, FB and Line during my 3-day sea adventures. The romantic bathroom equipped with HUGE bathtub/shower and elongated toilet. The stylish window separated the bedroom and bathroom with adjustable blind. The tub with giant window also faced the harbor. It could be very enjoyable while taking a bubble bath (included). The curtain is equipped for needed privacy if desired. LOL! All the toiletries were included - tooth brushes, toothpaste tubes, comb, shower cap, cute soaps and hair dryer. Other shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were conveniently attached to the wall. One thing worthy mentioned was the soothing and jazzy music softly floating in the air in the lobby and the hallways. The housekeeper delivered the requested extra pillows within a few minutes. This small detail deserved praise as I have traveled around the US, Japan and European countries countlessly in many nice hotels; this prompt service was hardly ever been provided. The buffet restaurant provided delicious and various local delicacies for breakfast and dinner which we enjoyed very much. Throughout our entire stay, the room was kept tidy and clean. Wonderful room, friendly staffs, pleasant atmosphere and centrally located made this trip a wonderful experience. I'll certainly recommend to my friends and come back again in the future.

Reception helped us book our island hopping excursion ($1000 NT) & renting a scooter ($350/day). Good coffee at breakfast and the room was equipped with a fridge, a kettle, night tables, a great flat screen TV & a spacious bathroom with a large shower area. Only negative was the bed was pretty hard. Rates are much lower during low season (Nov.-March).

Reviewed By dstravels123456The rooms were large and staff was helpful to get call up travel services to help us get around the islands. The hotel is close to the 203 that takes you around Penghu. Breakfast buffet also has a decent selection of food and coffee -- so for that it was good. What I did not like, however, was the smoking. We got a non-smoking room on what we thought would be a non-smoking hall, but we woke up to stale smoke in our room each morning. We told the staff but they didn't seem to care and didn't offer any solution. It was very irritating and opening windows in the heat was uncomfortable and let bugs in our room. The smoke came through the vents, so the staff felt there was nothing they could do. It was frustrating.

The property is close to several noted attractions, around 400 metres from Penghu Zhongyang Old Street and around 400 metres from First Guesthouse Penghu. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a shared lounge and luggage storage for guests.

Its location is central, near to the bus station and ferry terminal, and to some tourist attractions. The facilities are good and clean, and there is a good kitchen. There are a couple of oddities: the room lights are controlled from the desk, not by a room switch; and if you have a bottom bunk, watch out for the projecting corner of the top bunk - it got me a few times. I found the staff, particularly manager Ray very helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending this hostel.

Perfect Location for Fireworks Festival
Reviewed By Ellen0388We stayed here for three nights, the staffs here were extremely helpful. They always provided us lots of travel suggestions as well as assisting us booking the local tour. We came here for the fireworks festival, I have to say the location was awesome! It's the BEST location for fireworks. We were watching the fireworks so closely and feels like it's only for us. If you are coming here for fireworks, it's the MUST. Also, the hotel location is also very close to city no matter you are going for food or site seeing. it's all about walking distance. Fantastic staying. The only thing I would suggest is to improve the breakfast quality which its not really too many choices. However, there were so many local food for breakfast choice, why bother staying here for breakfast?
