We stumbled upon this bakery in the old town area, there is no english signboard but you'll easily find it with your nose - just follow the wonderful aroma of baked goods.
There is only a large table in the store, so don't expect to hang around or chill here. Either you take-out or probably share a table if there are other patrons. If I recall correctly they don't sell any beverages for dine in.
The first time we were here we tried the cactus mille crepe and the peach mousse sponge cake. The mousse sponge was amazing, just the right amount of sweetness and oh so light! The seafood tart needs to be pre-ordered, which we did and went back the second day just to sample 2 small pieces. It was definitely one of the best savory tarts I had in a long time. I can see why these babies are sold out on a daily basis!

Authentic, traditional food from Penghu situated inside a small, old house that has been converted.
Each room is private meaning very intimate dining.
Many of the dishes are signature Penghu dishes that have now spread over the rest of Taiwan but originated in Penghu.
The restaurant contains a lot of old bric-a-brac that are interesting to look at and take photos.
Definitely recommend, although I did have a Chinese speaker with me and those without may struggle a little.

Not sure why it is so famous and popular. Taste is ordinary and taro balls do not have enough taro taste. Mainly for takeaway or you can seat on the limited stools available if eating there. Had the dine-in version not for takeaway.

This is a local place, visited by most local people, not the tourists. So you can be sure of the quality of the food as well as the price. It is a seafood place and everything tastes so fresh. The Shrimp pancake and fish ball soup are my favorite. It finally cost us only a little over $20 for 5 dishes of seafood! Amazing values!

My BF and I chose this placed based on a previously written review and were not disappointed!! We arrived a bit before opening time but they allowed us to sit down and order early. They have a lovely selection of fresh seafood and veggies. We order the pumpkin mi tai mu (南瓜米苔目) ( not on the menu but ordered bc of the review ;) and it was amazing! I wanted to order a second plate to go!
We also ordered a nice piece of fish, squid balls, asparagus with pork, and some other squid. HIGHLY recommended if you're spending some time in Penghu!!
