Good place to eat lunch if you are in New Athos, they also have a great beach club. Food was excellent, from soups, salads, chicken nuggets for the children and pizzas. Very high quality standard European cuisine if you are travelling through Abkhasia.

Ресторан понравился своей архитектурой в виде Мельницы с красивым двором и вековыми деревьями. Внутри двора протекает речка. Внутри тепло, но не очень уютно. В меню многого не было( как нам объяснили это нормально для Абхазии), но мы были и в других кафе, где все было. Персонал не очень дружелюбен. Ведут свои беседы. Хинкали, которые мы заказали совсем не понравились, видимо, это не их коронка. Хачапур был неплохой. Ресторан позиционирует, что у них своё фермерское хозяйство, но ничего такого в меню мы не увидели. Было тепло, и не многолюдно.

Had an acceptable meal at the Grill Bar Makhito last week when in Gagra. Good food, (try the trout!), nice service and we smoked a smooth hookah after dinner. Pricing was a bit high seeming like a big city price but other than that a pretty reasonable offering. Not a lot of English spoken here but don’t let that keep you away, our limited Russian, struggling Georgian as well as hand gestures and drawings helped out significantly.

The history of this restaurant is very interesting. The building was originally built by an Abkazian prince and has survived through many wars and regime changes. The architecture alone is worth a look and its in the most beautiful part of Gagra. The property resides on large beach front Gardens and is adjacent to some very luxurious Soviet resorts. Big trees everywhere.
The restaurant is in the main ballroom of the building. Upstairs check out the views from the veranda.
The salad, beer, and vegetables were mediocre. But the fish was really really good. Served with some caviar and sour cream sauce.

Ресторан очень уютный, состоит из открытой террасы и закрытого зала, вечером играет живая музыка, красивый интерьер и приятное обслуживание.
Но: ценник ресторанный, а блюда не очень вкусные. Мы не первый раз в Абхазии и живем неподалёку (в Сочи), поэтому искушены кавказской кухней и знаем в ней толк. Здесь блюда абхазкой и кавказской кухни нас совсем не впечатлили. Надеюсь, это временное явление, так как планируем вернуться в Абаату-отель, а сам антураж ресторана нам очень понравился.

This restaurant is a very friendly place with a nice atmosphere, perfect for lunch or dinner with your friends. Dishes are mostly made of fish and I would recommend to try some typical food. Staff is attentive and we didn´t have any roblems.

Smoking patrons aside, we had a good meal at Kavkazkaya Kukhnya last week while in Gagra, it’s a nice café style, friendly enough service and good authentic Abkhazian cuisine. The food was quite tasty and affordable but again the smoke was not too thick but still enough to distract from our enjoyment of the flavor of the food.

Очень демократичные цены, вкусные блюда, хороший выбор и из национальной и из европейской кухни. Хоть и называется столовая, но по факту кафе т.к. ходят официантки. Блюда огромных размеров! Рекомендую сначала съесть что-то одно, а потом уже заказывать следующее.

The place for pies in Gagra seems to be Lodochka. We tried it out last week, it was a busy little spot, food smelled good, looked good and tasted pretty excellent too. Pricing was very affordable, service was good but seemed stressed as can be expected and overall not a bad stop for a quick bite.

По сути в п.Лдзаа мест для развлечений нет. В этом ресторанчике, расположенном на берегу моря, проводят единственные в окрестностях вечеринки. Правда, только если вы приехали в сезон. В сентябре народу было мало, соответственно можно просто приятно провести время за столиком на берегу или под навесом. Впечатление приятное, не забегаловки. Цены средние, чуть выше, чем у других.
