Reviewed By Odyssey15951028174Visit here first time and i had high expectations because this is very expensive place!! So I was with kids and the first night we stayed suite and the smell was awful!! There was indoor air problems!! I think there was mold in the bathroom!!my son has asthma so he had some symptoms!:/ We change the room but they didn’t give any compensation for this big problem!! When we paid the room they didn’t find at first our gift card and they want much money! After awhile everything was fine again but I don’t understand this confusion about this level place! So this was a big disappointment for us! Not coming again!

Reviewed By JayyyyzThe place is super nice, right next to see, great staff and caravan places. BUT, our hairy little friends, dogs! Barking continues to late night and starts early in the morning. My three year old son asked me, whats wrong with the dogs. That should explain it all!

Ollilan Lomamajat has eight well-equipped cottages located around the shore of Lake Valijarvi. All the cottages have their own sauna, which is heated with wood. Restaurant Juomuskota is great for weddings, family gatherings, birthdays and meetings.
Rip off place, too high price, no actual toilet, and a very bad customer service
Reviewed By mrosh80This property hides important information from its booking page and charges you extra to upgrade if you want on the spot. I booked this property from booking.com and it claims that it has "private bathroom" and posts pictures of shower and sauna with washing basin that makes a wrong impression that it is a normal bathroom. But when we arrived we noticed that there is no proper toilet and instead it has a compost toilet across the yard like 20 meters from the cottage with no running water (no flush). We were shocked because we had previously booked similar cottages with normal bathrooms, and we were so bummed that this cottage's pictures and information were misleading us. The owner told us he could upgrade us to the next level cottage and we paid extra 20 euros for one night for it. If you want linens it costs 8,5 euros (per person) and if you want towels too, the cost will be 12,5 euros per person - which is quite high price in comparison to similar places (e.g. 7,5 euros for both towel and linen in our previous cottage). They also charge a cost for cleaning if you do not clean after yours. We could find long hairs from previous residents in the cottage. I have been in similar types of cottages before and they had better quality/price ratio. The owner did not apologize for any inconvenienece about the missing information and kept saying that he does everything absolutely right but I talked to booking.com and they said owner was responsible for misleading information. I am not the only customer who fell in this trap! Long story short, I would avoid this place becuase of the total high price, hiding important relevant information, and the attitude of the owner. There are so many alternatives in the region, I would choose one of them and definitely NOT this one.

8 Cottages and 7 rooms in the main building. All the cottages have electric sauna and free Wi-Fi. Accommodation is located right next to lake Talvijarvi. From the lake you can find nearest cross country tracks and snow mobile routes, nearest ski lift is Talvijarvi, which is on the other side of lake Talvijarvi, Skibus is running next to accommodation. Summer time nearest hiking tracks are just few hundred meters.
Nice place, good cottage
Reviewed By Albert QGood location, quiet place and nice cottage, clean and good facilities. Kitchen is well equipped. You can find reindeer near the cottage. It is a good stay to visit Oulanka National Park and ski zone.

Perusmökki Kumpula
Reviewed By Terhi8Mökin hyvä puoli oli sen sijainti Tahkolla. Huono maku jäi monesta seikasta: tullessamme mökki oli todella likainen, tahmainen ja pölyinen. Esimerkiksi wc haisi todella pahalle ulko-ovelle saakka (ihmiseritteelle) ja sohvalla oli mm. spaghettia. Mökki tultiin pyynnöstämme siivoamaan, mutta tilanne ei juurikaan muuttunut, sillä käytössä olleet siivousvälineet olivat nekin likaisia. Siivousrättien ja pyyhkeiden peseminen yöpyjien välillä olisi ollut helppoa, koska mökissä on pesukone. Mökkiin oli tuotu puhtaita pyyhkeitä ja laudeliina, joten mökin kunnon olisi voinut huomata jo sillä käynnillä. Lopulta siivosimme mökin itse uudelleen, mutta wc jäi haisemaan, koska siivousvälineitä sen puhdistamiseen ei ollut, emmekä toisaalta kokeneet, että se kuuluisi saapuvien asukkaiden tehtäväksi. WC:ssä oli myös pitkänukkainen matto, joka varmasti oli osasyy hajuun. Mökistä puuttui tavaroita, mm. käsisaippuaa, tulitikut (mökissä puukiuas), kahvimitta ja palovaroitin oli poissa katosta hyllyn päällä, jolloin sen toiminta estyy/viivästyy. Äänieristystä ala- ja yläkerran välillä ei ollut, vaan kaikki kuului molempiin suuntiin.

Reviewed By Bella VWe were in the Singer Cabin in late april and the experience was really nice. The Cabin is confortable and beautiful, with lot of details. The surroundings are wonderful, in front of the Cabin there is a lake and even if it is in the middle of the nature, it is between 2 national parks (Hossa and Oulanka). Also, It is 20 min from Rukka, where there is snowmobile safarys, husky safarys, Sky, etc. The owners were very nice and understable with us and tried to help us and adapt in every moment. Moreover, the quality-price relation is just so good! If I ever came back to Finland, I'd love to repeat in this place.

The holiday village of Meripesä is situated in Ölmos in the Municipality of Kimito, and is close to both the sea and the Archipelago National Park. Part of the holiday village is located near to the beach in the sheltered bay of Ölmos, and part along the bay’s lovely sandy beach, with views out to the open sea. The holiday village is sited on a large headland of approximately 50 hectare, with a 2 kilometre long shoreline. The headland is composed of rocky areas and pine forest. In the winter this terrain offers good skiing, and in the summer the woods are rich in berries and mushrooms. In the bay of Ölmos there is a private jetty for our customers use to dock and moor their boats. Kimito Municipality has many events, activities and sights worth seeing. We are open:01.01 until 31.12

Reviewed By Aidas SWe spent a week of our vacation here and we loved it. We like fishing and there are very good fishing spots there. Cottage is cozy and full equipped. Environment is very pleasant, and quite. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you, we will come back ;-)

Reviewed By Christoffer HWe stayed with my girlfriend one evening and one night in the wooden hut up in the trees, which was a great experience! The huts were very clean and top quality. We enjoyed the superb, out-of-this-world, smoke sauna: never experienced anything like that, and as a Finn I have been to many kinds of saunas, also smoke saunas. The food was great: a Finnish steak made under ground with charcoal on it (+other buffet food). We also had some extra help we needed from the staff, and they did everything for us: the service was simply excellent! We will go back definitely. A big thank you!

Reviewed By Tomi_WickmanBeautifull location as you’re surraunded by the river. Builduings and toilets a bit tired but still ok. Bar/cafe/restaurant/reception closes early. But you can drive in and the toilets are open without code.
