Reviewed By LumousiThe hotel must have been luxurious like a decade ago, but now it is just average. The location is lovely near the sea, but still, the experience felt overly priced. The room had all the basic amenities you need, but nothing extra. It was not comfortable enough so you would like to do there more than sleep: it did not make us feel especially relaxed. It was like a room in an average business hotel. The breakfast was a disappointment, compared to other similar class hotels. The selection was not wide, and the taste of the food was just average. There was really nothing special.

Reviewed By Tero WAn OK spa which is in need of reparation, quite a lot of areas are very worn. A strange thing is that there is no cafeteria or bar at the pool area, that would be nice. There is a normal sauna and a steam sauna, the steam one is mixed for women and men.

A base for Nuuksio National Park
Reviewed By JellonaThe hotel is right on the border of Nuuksio National Park and from there it is easy to make excursions to the western parts of the park (which are considerably less congested than, for example, the Haukkalampi region). The hotel is really quiet and we thought we were almost the only guests until we saw other guests at breakfast. The room was big and clean and had a nice lake view. The TV was gigantic. The room also had a decent fridge and not just some minibar. At front of the hotel you could find spacious and free parking. There seemed to be only one person working at the hotel, which was a little surprising. The selection of breakfast was limited, but luckily for our tastes. The hotel does not have a 24-hour reception (we didn't need it, though). There are no services near the hotel and apparently no public transport, so it is necessary to come here by car and the nearest shops can be found in Veikkola some 5 km away. Considering the location I can't really think of many groups who find this hotel a good choice, but if you like to make day trips to Nuuksio National Park you definitely belong to one of them.

Average hotel but good location
Reviewed By ssannamariaaaFor a room priced such as this, I found the place to be underwhelming. While clean, spacious and equipped with a private balcony, the room also had a broken bathroom lamp and the TV didn't work. More concerningly, the door chain was broken and couldn't be used. I found the layout of the shower area strange, as it didn't have a sliding door (or similar), and the water kept splashing onto the "toilet side" of the bathroom, leaving the floor wet. The hotel didn't offer any toiletries, but did have hand and body soap available fixed in the bathroom. The rooms are also quite far from the main building, which was a bit of a deterrent for me in terms of using the sauna and having breakfast (served from 8am to 10am which I think is a bit of a narrow window). This is a good average hotel for one who needs a place to sleep and breakfast but I think overpriced in comparison to the room and amenities. Service was very friendly.

Perfect location to spot Northern lights; excursions to the Barents sea, dog sledge tours and reindeer farm. Excellent snowmobile tours through the wilderness. The quality and variety of meals was greatly appreciated; clean and well maintained accommodation. In summary: everything you want for a great stay in the arctic world.

In our houses you can enjoy modern accomodations still surrounded by Finnish nature. The scenery along the coastline is very unique, and so is the very history of Glasbruket. Our houses are spacious thanks to the glass-encrusted patios where you can admire the view comfortably even in the cold days of winter. You can deside too cook the food for yourselves or pre-order it from a local catering-company. And if you wish, we can fill the refridgirator with the supplies you need before you arrive. Our customer-service will coordinate with any special diet you may have concurrent with your booking. We will also take care of the final clean-out free of charge. If you have any special wishes concerning your stay, please mention them when you do your booking.

Reviewed By casiopee93Our apartment was just great and included a private sauna and wood burner for a nice fire in the evening (a full stock of dry wood was available in a shelter). Kitchen equipment was excellent. Rooms were small but comfortable. Two bikes were provided free of charge. I only regret that our dining room had a view on the next building instead of the lake. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Reviewed By A IVery good indoor and outdoor sport facilities for different kind of sports: tennis, football, skies, hockey etc. and any level of sportsmen - from very beginner to high level pro, great lication in the heart of Finland, the very nice lake, running paths, the closest city Nastola is only in 2.5 km.
