SUD is a small cozy restaurant with a limited menu of 3/3/3...the number of appetizers, main dishes and desserts. Iâm sure there must be a wonderful story about each plate, which rotates every month. The food was nicely prepared and decorated and service was friendly However, I would expect more attention on customer delight. For example, explaining the restaurant concept and dishes of the month. Asking how the food tastes. Perhaps a brief appearance by the chef. In our case, plates were removed before finishing. Ambience with no music was really dull. Staff started spraying cleaning chemicals on tables around us and we felt rushed to leave.I invited all my friends. No one complemented the restaurant. It just didnât delight us.With more heart transmitted to the customer SUD can have so much success. For now, we have no plans to go back and wonât be recommending it. Thank you for your visit and your comment. We are sorry that you did not find the service as good as the quality of our cuisine. Very probably, our waitress was quite busy on this saturday evening, but, we take your comments into consideration to continue to improve our service.

Invited to a group dinner in Lausanne, was impressed by the service and the food. Wine list was not mega extensive, but a few little gems in the list. The only drawback was the acoustics, a small table of females arrived, and literally we couldn't hear ourselves over the racket! Would go again as the food was very good.... Dear guest thanks a lot for your visit. I am sorry for the noisy. I hope to see you again in our restaurant. best regards

One of my favourite places in Lausanne. The food is always excellent, the service good. Good wine list and menu selections. Try to sit in the back room or if in the nicer weather definitely on the patio. Some items have two servings so I would ask as you well be surprised by the generous portions. Go itâs worth it.

Our friend referred us to this wonderful small restaurant in Lausanne. From the moment you enter, you get a great vibe,lots Italian being spoken.Small bar serving all drinks.Service excellent.We started with very good Aperol Spritz and a nice white wine.The salads were beautifully fresh, and a seafood platter of octopus calamari ect.very good!The two pasta dishes were spectacular one with calamari and a sauce. The second with swordfish and calamari both spectacular!The tiramisu was divine.We highly recommend this restaurant.

A great Italian restaurant. Our picks were: octopus and tartare as starters, both delicious; red ravioli and gnocchi as main course, also great. We finished with cheese cake with chocolate and hazelnuts from Piemonte. Friendly service; we felt like at home. Will definitely come back any time we are there. It is a good investment to get out from most touristic areas and come here; thereâs a bus stop 2â away.

a very positive surprise in Lausanne. Good food; we had the tuna and the dorade; the latter comes along with heavenly lentils. The crab avacodo mousse as a starter is a dream. The waiter was very friendly despite being alone and serving all guests. If anything the chairs look really worn. Can certainly recommend this place.

we went because of the review on tripadvisor. Having climbed the stairs to the cathedral we were slightly disappointed to see the menu for vegetarians as pasta can be so "meh" but were loath to walk back down to find somewhere else. And how glad we were that we went in - small restaurant, lovely hostess/waitress and the pasta was fabulous. A suitable place to have a delicious Christmas dinner with more than 100 colleagues is not easy to find. We were very lucky to spend a nice evening at this very well-known restaurant last week. The preordered 5 course menu with 'Foie gras', lobster salat, prawns risotto as well as filet of veal was delicious, served hot and almost at the same time to everyone. A big 'Chapeau' for the service team. I'll be back in summer to enjoy the terrace with the beautiful view over the lake of Geneva.

I have been for dinner with friends and we have all loved this new restaurant in Lausanne. All dishes we had were excellent but also presented in a beautiful way. I had for appetizer the St. Jacques and for main course the vealâs steak.Also the wines recommendations we had were very good we drunk a Vermentino and a Bolgheri from Tuscany.We will definitely come back to this Restaurant.
