We booked a table based on the comments we read on TripAdvisor. We were looking for a really authentic place were the locals go... Yes, we did find what we were looking for, even more than that.It is a bit surrealistic. Are you in a seafood warehouse/shop, a garage, a kitchen, ... ?!? It really doesn't matter, we had the best seafood ever! The best price/quality in the area... I really mean it!!!Superb!Try the oysters with Camembert, the seafood platter with crab, the pink 'crevettes' and 'les moules'. We'll be back one day.

Great little place, lovely to watch the owner blaze our mussels under the pine needles. Then to be served with hot embers still on them. The most amazing mussels and so smokey. The huge prawns/ gambas were to die for too and the 4 of us ate for under 70 euros including wine and ice creams. Great value, location and food. We'll be back next year.

We found this spot many years ago and return if staying within driving distance, this year we were staying on the Ile d'Oleron and just had to make the pilgrimage. Despite not going for several years we were greeted like regulars with the traditional handshake. We sat at a table at the very tip of the Cayenne and I had the oysters and a crepe washed down with a pichet of local wine, a great light lunch in beautiful surroundings.

We had a good time a la Plage de La Ribaudiere. Excellent Anguille to share, tasty shrimps tempura, yummy risotto with langoustines and mussels, fresh maigre tartare. The Chef came to say hello. Service was good and friendly.Super view of the ocean and colorful skiesWe will go back

Have been visiting this restaurant for many years and it gets better and better. The food, wine, and general ambience is superb. The same family have also run it for many years and the service and general welcome could not be bettered. My family, who come from other parts of Europe, consider it a major part of their visit.

I think we are spoilt in London but food in this region is so mediocre. However this was exceptionally bad. Fish was very weird tasting and certainly didn't seem fresh. I couldn't eat it. My son had a chipped plate then found the broken bits from the chips in his hot dog. They were very good about it but really food is abysmal and I do know a lot about food. Dear Sir, I'm so sorry you had a bad experience in our restaurant. It is true that your son's plate was chipped, it was a terrible incident that none of us noticed, otherwise we would have made it again. As a matter of fact, we proposed you another dish which you refused, such as the desert already included in you son's menu. Regarding the other dishes, you decided to tell the waiter about your disappointment at the end of your diner time, which gives us absolutely no possibiliy to do anything about it. Again, we would have proposed you another dish which might have suited your taste better (it must be all about taste as we sold about 20 fishes that night and everyone loved it, including the staff who ate it for dinner).The kid's menu was deduced from your bill, with all the apologies of the staff. Again, we are sorry about your bad experience and regret that you decided to give us such a bad review on Tripadvisor. Since we opened in March 2016, you are the first customer saying that we are a terrible restaurant and I do hope that potential customer will not rely on your exaggerated review.

a cut above the usual and nearby restaurants and not that much more expensive but well worth it.Good value on the 24.5 euro plat de jour with a very inventive chef and menu.Four of us had dinner without anything to fault.The gambas and ,salmon starters were superb, as was the pork cheek and fish for mains. . The chocolate and framboise deserts were pleasantly filling.Excellent service and atmosphere.

Went out to eat on one of the busiest evenings of our holiday as it was the last firework night of the season (24th Aug)Was about half past 9 and although they were really busy the boss welcomed us and we were seated. Had a fantastic meal in a busy but charming atmosphere!! Will defo return next year!!!

We managed to get a table at lunchtime without a reservation and were looking forward to some fine dining. However we were disappointed, the service let this place down. They had different waiters coming to the table, when you asked for something you had to ask again two or three times a real shame. Although the food was very good, we would sadly think twice before going again. They had enough staff but no system to the way they looked after their tables.What a shame that upon departure you did not tell me anything about this "terrible" service and above all you let us know that your meal was a nice moment... ! Better to hide behind your screen ?
