It is not a big place. If you translate the Pech it means oven. Everything cooked there in oven, even bread. It is very delicious and good place. I took the lamb in pot, it was good. Mostly meat in oven.

Pinta is located in Mega Center 1 right next to the movie theater. You really have to look hard to realize that it is a restaurant.I have been Pinta about 4 times now. It is hit and miss but I tend to order the cheese pizza margarita. Service is a bit slow, you will have to call for the waiting staff several times before they come to your table.The restaurant is a bit dark having a bar atmosphere. There is a live band playing in the evenings. Beers are reasonable.Why would you visit Pinta, quite simple, it is never crowded. The food court is nearby but sometimes getting a table can be pain. Better to head to Pinta.

We ended up here whith a couple of friends who live in town as English teachers. It was good to have their Russian skills but not necessary. The server was working on her English so we helped each other. The bar is nice, warm and inviting. We just had drinks and snacks. (Fries and later brownies) All the food was good, the menu was easy to read and the drinks were cheap and yummy. I loved the flags on the ceiling. If you use the restroom check out the "rules". Seriously, go here. They are great. Support local quality bar life.

It was my first experience with Scandinavian food in Almaty. Nevertheless, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, has 2 levels, which allows to have places both in the bar or on the second floor like a balcony. The food is tasty and portions are quite big. Prices are on the average level like the similar places in Almaty. One of the most interesting things are the decorations of all dishes - this is a separate acknowledgment for the chief! Also, service is on a high level, waiters are working fast and unobtrusively. So, overall nice place to eat and have some fun time with friends!

When we stayed in the Kazzhol hotel on Gogolstreet, we have eaten twice in Presso. A very good location, a large terrace with comfortable chairs on the pedestrian zone of Zhibek Zholy Avenue. The restaurant is near the entrance of the TSUM building, next to the entrance of a cinema. (The location on Tripadvisor when we visited this restaurant was not correct, because it is indicated on a location not on Zhibek Zholy but on a parallel street.) An advantage for foreigners is, that the restaurant has an English menu and the waitress spoke some English. We had a chicken with spinach menu, a beef with mushrooms and union/leek dish and twice vegetarian dishes with pasta and grilled vegetables. Good meals, friendly waitresses, decent prices and a comfortable place to sit. The beer was good and rather cheep! We would visit Presso again.

We were a group of four who went here at 6.30 on a Saturday night. We were able to be comfortably seated. We ordered a range of different meals and we all enjoyed the food. The chicken burger was very good definitely the best Iâve had in a long time. We had desserts and can highly recommend you try these as well. I have lived in Almaty now for 8 mths. We eat here several times a month but will not be back. It only takes one very bad service resulting in us leaving before we even received our meals for us to not want to eat here again. We came here on Friday the 23rd of August We arrived around 6.45pm. We did not have a reservation but the high tables were empty and we were happy to sit there. There was no one else there. After about 10 min another couple came in then 10min later single person sat down as well. Eventually our waitress took our order. We waited 50 min for our started to arrive. In the mean time the other two groups had starters and their main meal served. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes we had had enough. And to top it off two people who had joined the high tables 45 min after we arrived received their main meals. We asked for the bill and another female staff member apologized and said it was a mix up in the kitchen. We had asked our waitress many times what was happening and she told us it was because we had a starter, so did the others sitting at our tables. We were the only foreigners sitting at these tables. The rest were all local. There are too many restaurants in Almaty to have to deal with terrible service. Good afternoon! Thanks for your feedback.
