Well we have eaten here before and had wonderful service. I had gotten free Bang Bang shrimp for my birthday. Our waitress took our order of which we were both ordering food besides this. Someone delivered the Bang Bang Shrimp and said, "Who is having this as their meal?" Neither of us were and she put it down on the table. We didn't get plates or napkins. I had to go to another table to get them. We noticed that the other tables were all getting bread with their Bang Bang Shrimp or meals. We didn't get any or were offered any. We sat a long time waiting for everything. We did notice a wonderful waiter who was taking the time to explain the menu and just giving fantastic service, suggestions and bread. We waited a very long time for the bill. We would have had a totally different experience with the right server. I did send a message to them, but I did not hear back. I have two gift cards to use there. She never offered us drinks and when she gave us the bill, I asked her if they still had the delicious Sangaria of which she said yes. I hope for a better experience next time.

Dined for Father’s Day with family. Pretty busy evening. Had reservations and sat at a window booth which was nice. Food was good. Service good despite heavy traffic. Took awhile for food to arrive but expected. Calamari, steak and shrimp, filet mignon, ribeye and sea bass all good. Lobster bisque tasted good as well. Hadn’t been here in years. It was nice to revisit and celebrate with family. Good experience. Priced high to me though. Downtown prices for average food. Atmosphere and service were good even on a busy evening.

Red Lobster

On family night, we always select a restaurant where everybody will be able to choose their favorite dishes and nobody will be disappointed. Sometimes, that's a very difficult proposition, trying to satisfy six people all at once. That's why Red Lobster is one of our favorite destinations. It was my sister's turn to host so we descended upon the Red Lobster at 14750 South La Grange Road in Orland Park, Illinois, a southwest suburb of Chicago. We have been there before. In fact, my wife and I have been to many Red Lobster locations, from Chicago to Champaign to Springfield to Bloomington to Schaumburg to Sarasota, Florida, to Dalton, Georgia, to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to Grand Island, Nebraska, to St. Petersburg, Florida, to Richmond, Virginia, to Denver, Colorado. At Red Lobster, it's all about fresh fish. And we've never been disappointed. On this family occasion--no duplicate orders, please--we sampled shrimp cocktail, chicken wings, mozzarella cheese sticks, New England clam chowder, seafood gumbo, lobster bisque, Classic Caesar salad, garlic grilled shrimp, fish and chips, wood-grilled lobster, shrimp and salmon, live Maine lobster, halibut, key lime pie, New York style cheesecake with strawberries and apple pie Crostada. I still recall growing up in the 1950s when fresh seafood was a rarity at any restaurant. Red Lobster, which was founded in 1968, has helped to change all that. Thanks for sharing! We love it when you come to visit.

Petey's II Restaurant

One of the first steakhouse and seafood restaurants in the Orland Park area. Petey's II Restaurant offers a nice selection of entrees -- steaks, chops, chicken, ribs, fish, seafood, and vegetarian. On the lighter side, enjoy a few appetizers, soups, salad

Chicken Kiev was a small rectangular frozen patty, deep fried, tough, tasteless. Prime rib was good, scallops fine, and large filet good. Salad mediocre and dressing awful. Service good, although kitchen slow getting food out. Very noisy. Been trying to like this restaurant for 40 years but just can’t!

We have traveled for years antiquing in Maine- we combined this with eating at any and all lobster roll places that we could research- including the legendary place in Wiscasset,Red’sWell let me tell you- the perfectly toasted roll stuffed to overflowing with lobster served here beats them all. Many of the legendary places there are short lobster and long filling- not here.An absolute fabulous dish.Ditto the seafood chowder- compared favorably with my benchmark at Shaw’s- at a lower price point. For a modest $2/ person, you can byob beer or wine.Do not miss this gem- we drove 45 minutes to get here and we will return soon.
