We sat on the roof top deck and it was pleasant. Our waitress was super helpful with selections. The dog pound fries were tasty, the chili on them was really good. We also had the pretzel burger and it did not disappoint. Finished our meal with a brownie sundae, good, but average. All around good meal.

I and some friends ate there for Sunday dinner after church, and it was very good. I had a great Cesar salad, They have a varied menu of American food as well as pasta, steak, etc. Nice surroundings and very good service.

The Hen House is a typical just-off-the-interstate restaurant in rural Illinois. The food is good and unpretentious. I had the roast pork special and my wife had a burger. Both were solidly good, but nothing special. Service was quick and friendly, and the meal was a good value for the money. Worth stopping.

Had a great server, Kelly very bubbly, smiley, and great service! My husband order the platter w/4 choices of meat (brisket, pulled pork, ribs and wings) one side and we ordered an extra side. Wings were out of this world! Ribs were a little dry on part of them and very moist on the other side! Brisket was very tender and delicious. Pulled pork I did not taste. The french fries were awesome as well. I did not like their coleslaw.
