Fiance and I and my son, so small party of three. Place was pretty much dead, 3 tables only had people at them. Waitress was pleasant, courteous, and prompt throughout the evening. My son ordered the buffet while my fiance and I both ordered the special, which was lobster tail and shrimp scampi on asparagus risotto. Three other parties came in after us. One ordered the buffet so obviously got their food immediately. Another ordered something completely different but received their food WELL before ours. I figured, ok, maybe the special we ordered just takes longer and let it go. A table of 5 right behind us, that came in 20 minutes after we did, received their food 15 minutes prior to ours. And they ordered the lobster special just like we did. The waitress apparently noticed our confused expressions and stopped to tell us that they got their food before us because they had reservations. So apparently if you have reservations, even if you come in well after others, your order will be jumped in priority. Now, I think that, in and of itself, is ridiculous. But to make matters worse, when our food did finally arrive, the broccoli was cold, the risotto was cold AND overcooked (should be a creamy texture, it was cooked past that point and then allowed to cool, and the lobster was...I'll just say, less than optimal. You would think having to wait that long, the food would at least be of high quality. We were deeply disappointed and will not be back. The waitress was the high point and was plainly upset that our food was cold and very late. I do not fault her. At all. Something is clearly not right with how this establishment is run.

If you desire a pizza that that doesn't have the big store taste this is the place. They are still using the original ovens from the past Sam's Owner. The taste is unique and is a town treasure. Nice place to grab a beer or drink in the evening too besides just going out for pizza.

When I am craving a really good salad, we come to Mazzio's. They have the best homemade ranch dressing and green leaf lettuce. The salad bar has so many options and all are fresh. We usually order some pizza, which is okay, but they also have sandwiches and pasta dishes. Nice family atmosphere.
