This place is just special if you like cheese, cold meats and wine. Basically they do platters of mixed cheese, cold meats and a glass of wine. The emphasis changes frequently. We’ve been several times and it’s always interesting. The guys who run it take it really seriously, each platter is made before your eyes and carefully explained either in English or French. The atmosphere is almost reverential to the customers, food and wine. All the cheeses, meat and wine are for sale at reasonable price.Very like a library inside (only of food and wine) and there are tables outside but it’s a bit busy.Dog friendly inside.Really recommended but you need to like this sort of food and like your prejudices challenged!

This establishment looked ok and had some good reviews. We waited to open at 19:00 and did get one of the last available tables as we did not make reservations. We ordered some stuff from the menu and already got some bread on the table. I think it were leftovers from the day before but my cheeks still hurt. Then they brought the starters... No feeling for presentation whatsoever but the dish was small and the tastes were awful. Afterwards we went for the fish of the day and lamb. The lamb was terrible and my fish did not have any taste at all, was undercooked and the purée was moisty and tasteless again. The menu also had a desert and we need to be honest: the chocolate mousse in little glass was fine. Normally we would have made remarks about the food but I saw other people making faces as well and we realised it was not worth the effort. This place is a cheap place for crappy food made by the 6 year old toddler who discovered the kitchen for the first time. Stay away from this place if you want to enjoy your food. Or just order chocolate mousse. Oh yeah, the people were very nice. I guess the should fire the cook... and forbid him to ever come close to a kitchen again.Look at all the commentaries, please... you're the only one to find our meals so badIn my mind, I think you, juste have no taste...

On the sea front at le Crotoy a restaurateur can't go wrong with the number of tourists drifting passed, especially with a fish market next door. The place was clean, the service polite and accomodating. The main dish of dos de cabillaud, recommended that day, was well cooked and tasty, the mussel starters were abundant but rather small in size - made one wonder what their harvesting did to mussel stocks, and needed a lot of work to eat. Would we go back? Perhaps. But there are plenty of other restaurants to try in le Crotoy.

We visited the recently remodeled and re-owned restaurant last night and were very pleasantly surprised. Decor was simple and refined without being "too much", and the food was amazing. From start to finish everything was perfect. Not only was the taste and presentation perfect, but there was always a little "twist" on the expected that left all 4 of us wanting to come back!

Beautiful food displaying real finesse and the view over the bay compliments everything too. The menu is rather difficult to navigate as there are only a few dishes to choose from but in various combinations, yet it's worth studying it carefully to be rewarded. The interior of the restaurant is very attractive so it's a good rendezvous out of season. I ate a delicious lieu jaune with local purple potatoes and samphire as a main course. There is a large choice of shellfish in various combinations. The service was acceptable but food tended to be 'plonked' down. I rarely make a comment like this but I do hope it will lead to an improvement as it's a great place really.

We have been to this restaurant many times & have never been disappointed. There are the usual set menus and an a la carte menu, all of which are great value. The house wine is also excellent value for money and the duck breast with red currants is without doubt one of the best duck dishes I have ever eaten! It is a husband and wife run establishment and is small, so can get busy at weekends or holiday times.I hesitate to recommend it too much as I don't want it to get too popular - then we won't get a table!!!!

We enjoyed good food and service in this very clean and comfortable restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in explaining some of the dishes to us. We chose a mackerel dish and pate dish for starters and both were very good. Main courses consisted of moules frites and a lamb shank. Again, both dishes were very good. Plenty of bread as well. Wine was reasonably priced and served in various size pichets to suit thirst and pocket.Nice ambience about the place. Recommended.

We normally visit an other place but it was closed on this day. We were not disappointed by taking Le Mascaret instead. The menu is not huge but you find a good choice of dish/meat choices. Friendly service and very nice quality food. Highly recommended in Le Crotoy.

This place must be the best restaurant of the bay... the menu of 29,5 € had an amazing starter, a even better and more tasteful main dish and all presented with love and an artistic touch. The desert was ok but presented nicely. Service was distinguished. This is a culinary heaven with very down to earth prices. Top!

We took the surprise menu. The food was beautifully presented and tasted ok.The staff was friendly. However the time between 2 courses was a bit long and at the end, the staff was already preparing the room for breakfast the day after, which made me feel very unwanted. A sad ending of an otherwise good night
