Although not on the lakes or in town this was a great location for visiting some of our favorite wineries in the Finger Lakes. The room was spacious and extremely clean and staff was courteous and friendly. Internet and phone connection wasn't the best but this is no fault of the hotel. Very nice hot/cold breakfast served in the mornings. The Finger Lakes is one of our favorite destinations and we hadn't been here for the last couple of years due to travel restrictions. So happy to be back and have a great "home base" to tour from. Many thanks to the staff at Best Western Plus for helping to make our return to the area so rewarding!

Reviewed By MalcolmleAn oldish furniture inn with lots of space. The room is very clean and sevice is excelent. Breakfast is very rich. What stands ahead is the marvelus couple that runs the inn which are lovely immigrates from Europe that developed a great place

Village Tavern Inn, Hammondsport Lodging, Champagne House, Gulf Stream House and the 1835 House are all located in beautiful downtown Hammondsport! All within walking distance from the village square and Keuka Lake. All vacation rentals and over night accommodations have private entrances, private baths, coffee makers and refrigerators. Some units are turn key apartments. Great for nightly, weekly or monthly get-a-ways!
Cannot beat location, clean and comfortable
Reviewed By RidlerGirl67Stayed at the 1835 House, a 2-unit accommodation that is part of the Village Inn. It's a 2 bedroom apartment that is comfortable, well equipped and has a fantastic location right across from the Tavern and the village square and a 5 minute walk to the waterfront. Not much of the original house remains, the floors basically but they were very pretty. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had anything you would need, including coffee. There was a full sized stove, microwave and fridge/freezer too. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the front porch with a glass a wine and saying hello to all the friendly passers-by. The place was very clean but the bathroom could use a little love.

Historical Estate with 7 bedrooms and 4 baths, exquisitely decorated and furnished. Carriage house with 3 bedroom and 2 bath, kitchen, sitting room, fireplace (great for large party and extended stay). Property overlooks gorgeous perennial gardens and swimming pool with the only 3 acres of land in the Village. Very beautiful and only two strolling blocks to the Village Square of Hammondsport and Keuka Lake. Great location in the Finger Lakes Region.
Worst Customer Service Possible
Reviewed By sprisconyBEWARE! As you can see by the other reviews, this place has a problem taking reservations - or more to the point, keeping reservations. After booking our room in April through the booking partner on their website, we immediately received a "guaranteed reservation" confirmation email and our credit card was debited. Then only a few days before our arrival date in late June, I get a call and email from the owner saying that our room was "doubled booked" and there was nothing she could do. Plus she told me that it was "up to us" to get a refund from the booking partner. At first that seemed to be a straight enough process - though they tried to keep their service fee! - that told me they would refund my money after getting confirmation from the hotel that the no refund policy was being removed. Weeks go by and we got the same message every day - they were unable to contact the hotel. When I reached out to the owner she told me that her phone "blocked their calls because they were marketing calls!" When I finally told her that we would be forced to take legal action to get our money back, she told me to stop threatening her and then said - in an email - that we gave up our room and she graciously allowed it to happen! Now I have her original email and voice mail - which I will gladly share with anyone who wants it - where she told us we did not have room and there was "nothing she could do." While based on the many negative reviews of people who actually stayed here, it may have been a blessing in disguise, though until we get our money back this remains a nightmare. The total lack of customer service on both the establishment and the booking partner is beyond belief. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE unless you want to be taken for a ride. We ended up having to find other accommodations at a nice, but very overpriced nearby Best Western.

Charming and quaint, The Champagne House is located in picturesque down town Hammondsport New York, the heart of the Finger Lakes, the Keuka Lake Wine Trail and within walking distance to the village square and beautiful Keuka Lake. All rooms have exterior private entrances, private baths, hardwood floors, gas fireplaces, A/C, hair dryers, walk-in showers, coffee makers, mini-refrigerators, flat screen TV's and WiFi. Three ground floor units have queen beds and the second floor unit has a king bed and private deck. These are ideal for business, pleasure, romance or relaxation.

Reviewed By jamiecN822WDWe had so much fun staying at the Champagne House! After a day of winery hopping this was a great place to stay in the awesome town of Hammondsport. Check-in at the Village Tavern was easy and they were so nice! The Champagne house is a 5 minute walk outside of the main part of town so it is a perfect quiet place to stay, and a fast and safe walk into town for dinner. The second floor suite was extremely clean and cozy. For people who normally stay in hotels, this far exceeded my expectations and I think I am officially an Inn person now :) I will definitely stay at the Champagne House again!!

Able to walk to my favorite restaurant, the Village Tavern Restaurant! My favorite place with consistently great food, wine and service! Nice owners too!
