Gudauri (Georgian: გუდაური) is a ski resort located on the south-facing plateau of The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range in Georgia. The resort is situated in the Stepantsminda District, along the Georgian Military Highway near the Cross Pass, at an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 ft.) above sea level with skiable area enjoying maximum exposure to the sun. Gudauri lies 120 km (75 mi) to the north of the capital Tbilisi and two hours drive from the Tbilisi International Airport or even a short helicopter flight from the capital. The resort offers high quality skiing opportunities. The slopes of Gudauri are completely above the tree line and are best for free-riders and are generally considered to be avalanche-safe. The ski season lasts from December to April. Heliskiing is also available throughout the season.

It is few minutes down from the skiing place. We had our lunch on the day we visited Gudauri. Our guide recommended few Georgian food. Taste was so good. Liked it.Also, the good thing is that they don't allow smoking inside the restaurants like most of the others. And free Wi-Fi available

They dont have enough employees. You have to wait a lot of time for them to serve you. You should get ready to receive an answer of unavailability of your orders after ordering 20 minutes. And you should also get ready to drink red wine with champagne glass. Overall taste of the food average.

It is a Best place in Gudauri... there is no place like this in whole Winter Resort.
Food is great , you should try their special soup "Chikhirtma"! A lot of kind of drinks, classic & Local (Crazy) Cocktails, stuff is very kind & friendly , prices low then other places in Gudauri. Every weekend DJ or Live Music (Band).... If you love this kind of places were you can ski & you wanna have fun , there is only 3 word : Canudos Winter Bar!!! I`m pretty sure you will enjoy! Cheers!

Many dishes are often finished (for example khinkali with meat were finished all the time we visited this place with friends), once we were waiting pelmeni for more than one hour, another time french fries were forgotten even after a few reminding). Portions are not too big. In general this place is suitable for beer or coffee if you don't want to wait for half day for your food.

Certainly worth eating here if you're done with pork and potatoes.
Friendly and efficient service. Good English if like me you speak nothing else.
Cheap Coronas and the pizzas are really well done. Small pizza is actually about a 12" so don't get all crazy and order a large unless multiple people sharing.

Down to earth good food for a fair price. We are open open from 10:00 to 21:00. Famous Vasso is running the grill every day. We have a vegan burger and lots of meat. Occasional live music events in the evening in high season. We have happy hours from 16:00 to 19:00. Dogs and kids are welcome. We have some colours and pens for children.

I've been skiing in Gudauri in March 2017. After trying a couple of restaurants on the slopes, we've decided that this one was the best. Food is nice, service is decent, and prices were very good. We've especially liked their chicken Chkhmeruli, and the aubergine-walnut rolls; the apple stroudel was also good. They have most of the Georgian traditional dishes on the menu, although when we were there they were out of a couple of them. Anyway, we liked the place, it is cosy, also has a nice Terrace, so we recommend it.

A 2 minute walk from the middle chairlift station, you will find a small red door that leads to the place you see in the photo.
The place is amazing. The lady running it is super friendly and is willingly explaining everything and answers every question you have regarding the food. (you will have a few questions obviously haha)
The funniest thing about ski sites that keeps surprising me everytime, is the fact that the higher you get on chairlifts, the more you pay at each stop for basic things like food and water. So we made sure to explore the places at the bottom of the mountain only to find that this place is super cheap yet super tasty.
P.S. i've never tasted anything like the 4 cheese pizza they make. NEVER ...its a must

If you are in a -8 degree C, then try to hide to the nearest restaurant or hut. This little restaurant was our shelter. We escape the frozen atmosphere and enjoyed a cup of tea and cappaccino. Snacks or Kanchapuri served there.
