We arrived in Gérardmer late in the evening and stumbled upon this restaurant in hope rather than expectation. We'd had a long day in the car and the kids were tired. But we were met with excellent service, wonderful food and great drinks. The food was simple but well cooked and the cheese plate was a revelation. Really reasonably priced and just what we needed after a long day travelling. Dear Sir or Madam, We thank you for this comment. Hope to see you again in a near futurRegards

Restaurant / Bar to have a drink between friends or to eat a salad, a pizza or a hot dish cooked by ourselves(by our care) with the unique(only) claim to please you in all simplicity
This was our second choice in the resort but we were glad the first choice upset us. The staff were very friendly and the food was well cooked, piping hot and we didn't have to wait too long for our food either. We went here again the following night too we were that impressed.

We dined here two evenings this week and absolutely loved it. Great food, attentive service and good value in a setting which feels more upmarket than the location suggests. Two of our group have two eat gluten free. This was no problem. They have a very detailed separate menu which itemized all allergy ingredients. By the second evening when they knew we were coming they had specially prepared glthen free bread. We were so grateful. Thank you!!

We came here for a quick lunch, but being a typical French restaurant, the service dragged the meal out into a 2-hour affair. That said,it was an enjoyable experience.Wait staff was super friendly and polite. Service was long-ish, but not unreasonable. The place filled up and the staff were working hard.My advice is this. Avoid the prix-fixe menu. My 3 dining companions went with it, and although there were no complaints over their starters of quiches, mains of mashed potatoes and ham off the bone, and dessert of ice cream (they could have gone with blueberry tart if they'd wanted to) it was nothing compared to my a la carte choices. The Vosgienne salad was heavy on the cream sauce and bacon, but I doubt many would complain about that. I went with the stingray as my main course, and boy, was that the most beautifully prepared fish I've had in this corner of France. Cooked to perfection, it was delicate, and served with an exquisite sauce (white wine and butter reduction, I'm guessing). We all had plenty, and struggled to finish our meals. Very generous portions, and price was OK. Highly recommend for AFTER a hard day of skiing.

The welcoming is very friendly. The service very efficient. The menu shows a sufficiently wide range of possibilities. We went for the pizza cooked in the wood oven. I missed a typical diabola. The quality and taste was good but not extraordinary as I was expecting from the excellent reviews. You will need your car if your are staying in the town since it is around 6km from the center. Good choice

Great restaurant! Especially considering the neighborhood. Very friendly staff! Very understanding about pregnancy and diet wishes. We both had chicken as a main course. Yummy! For dessert we had a chocolate cake and a red fruit dessert. Both really nice :)
