J'ai été surpris de voir que ce restaurant avait peu d'avis sur Tripadvisor ( mais beaucoup de positif). On y va un peu par curiosité. On n'est pas déçu. L'accueil est agréable. On est rapidement conseillé. Menu bien expliqué. Tous les plats sont bons, très copieux. Les salades sont accompagnées de petites pommes de terre rôties. Ãa complète bien mais ça cale ! Dessert fait maison qu'on prend par gourmandise plus que faim. Au total on n'a pas été déçu. A refaire sans hésiter.

Accueil et personnel au top ! Question repas un vrai délice ! Tout était bon et bien cuisiné de l'entrée au dessert ! Des plats maisons excellents et grâce au cuisinier je me suis réconciliée avec les champignons et je me suis régalée tout comme mon mari qui y va souvent avec des clients ou ses collèguescar jamais déçu ! Je recommande grandement !

This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere dating back to the beginning of the last century. The kitchen has some great dishes, Lyonnais style...food is very tasty - grandmother's kitchen style :-) a great place to leave the stress of the day behind you.

This restaurant has a very nice external terrace but unfortunately it was raining on our visit. Inside is just as nice though, with a warm design. Although mid-week the place was quite busy with several large groups. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu is only in French but is reasonably easy to navigate as there are fixed menus with choices of dishes within each course. In terms of value it is very good but the downside is that there is a lot of food â so although you pay more for less, it may be wise to go for the single plates. The food is really good though â very nicely presented and very tasty. It is pretty heavy stuff though and I'm not sure if there is lighter fare on the menu. A very good place though â welcoming and very tasty food.

I stayed at the wonderful Hotel du Vieux Québec and Tournebroche is the on-site restaurant - it is absolutely excellent! Service is impeccable and the food is delicious - locally sourced, farm-to-table and prepared with flavour and elegance.i had the filet mignon, which was melt in your mouth and served with beautiful root vegetables and potatoes. The wine menu is also superb. I surveyed many restaurants in the area and found this to be the best combination of a high quality menu at a reasonable price. I was a repeat visitor to this restaurant during my stay thanks to the excellent service and food - highly recommended!

Nous sommes allés dans ce restaurant référencé sur "tripadvisor" dont les avis nous ont donné envie de le découvrir.Pour les assiettes : nous avons pris le menu de base, 38⬠entrée, plat, dessert. Menu enfant à 12â¬, vin au verre à 6⬠(vouvray). Les plats en eux même sont bons, cuissons respectées et bien accommodés. Tout est question de goût ensuite, sans trouvé ça transcendant ... nous avons toutefois bien mangé.Pour le service : c'est là que les choses se gâtent. Nous sommes restés quasi 3h dans ce restaurant pour Entrée/Plat/Dessert, sans apéritif. Déjà , il a fallu attendre quasi 15 mn qu'on nous apporte la carte ... puis quasi encore 10 de plus qu'on vienne nous demander si nous voulions boire quelque chose. Quand nous disions "pas d'apéro", le serveur nous a laissé encore une dizaine de minutes pour "faire notre choix" alors qu'il était fait depuis longtemps et pour cause, il y a 2 entrées, 2 plats et 2 desserts (au moins garantie produits frais et cuisine maison). Entre chaque assiette, le temps était très (trop) long. A notre départ, je faisais part de nos impressions à ce sujet, ce dont à quoi le serveur me répondait "que le Chef est seul en cuisine, que le soir c'est comme ça contrairement au déjeuner". Je suis parti en disant "me voilà averti", et j'ose me tromper lorsque je restais devant la porte ouverte à attendre mon épouse qui regardait une vitrine et entendais ce serveur ricaner avec le Chef au sujet de notre échange.En bref, une adresse que nous recommanderions pas forcément

I ate here alone recently as it had been pointed out to me to try here as it was supposed to be very good. The welcome was warm from the colorful staff and, although English was very limited, they were still helpful and friendly. The layout is good but on a sunny evening the rear area can be brutal if you sit next to the window as I did â I was glad of the shades and when the sun dipped lower in the sky. The menu is only in French but is clear enough. The set menus are very good value but are a lot of heavy food for one sitting. I took several single plates instead as although more expensive per dish, I did not want to pay for things I could not eat! What I had was very well made and presented and mostly delicious, with a good wine selection to accompany.Although I was alone it did not feel awkward and generally the place had a warm atmosphere and a good layout. Very good place that is worth a little trip to the edge of Montbrison to visit.
