Bottom of slopes, next to car park and hire shops. Inside, roaring fire sometimes lit, outside, seating area for relaxing après ski. Table service no problems, quick, friendly, efficient. Only managed the crepes for breakfast not main meals but delicious. Recommended.

A fleeting visit to Font Romeu and the second time at La Fromagerie in as many years. A really enjoyable night out in this very popular and slightly quirky restaurant. Good service and great food, albeit pricey. A good family night out.

This restaurant serves delicious food and has a wonderful atmosphere. The owners are friendly and fun to chat with, and the place is warm and cozy. All the food is carefully sourced and fresh, most of it from local providers. The raclette is amazing, better than other local restaurants, and the duck is also great. We went in a big group of friends, several of whom had food allergies, a vegetarian, and several small children and the staff made sure we all ate well. I really can't say enough about it, except that we keep coming back here every year at least partly due to this restaurant, and we talk about it all year long!

Excellent crepes, warm atmosphere. Highly recommended! The buckwheat crepes were authentic and delicious, with a wide variety of toppings. The dessert crepes were similarly great, and the cider is yummy.

On a chilly day in May, Font-Romeu seemed almost deserted, and we were nearly ready to settle for a steack- frites or a pizza. But then we noticed La Poule au Pot, and its menu ("carte") quickly convinced us to go in and have lunch. What a joy! Excellent contemporary cuisine with seasonal products, some "fusion" and innovation, cheerful service, and very good wine. The look and feel of the restaurant is also delightful, and the prices (at lunch in May) were almost embarrassingly low.Strongly recommended.

It has been quite a long time since I placed 5 stars, but this restaurant really deserves it: it has been a pleasure having dinnner here.It has it all!The place is in the middle of the town but, due the geography of FontRomeu, the restaurant still holds an amazing view over the valley as if you were on top of a mountain. Obviusly you get a better view if you book the table close to the windows, but still you feel it from anywhere as the restaurant is not that big.Service is excellent, from reception to farewell, while keeping price of the overall experience at a reasonable one.Food is great again: every single dish was amazingly tasty and greatly presented. Be cautious to reserve some space for the desserts as each one is worth it (may be I would discard only the "pistachio" one..).Finally price is not that expensive for the quantity and quality that you get: starters are around 15⬠and main courses around 25â¬. Found the crêpes quite average (good but not excellent). 2 types of cider are available: regular and sweet. The sweet cider was excellent. Dinners from 19:00.

Had two top lunches here - couldn't ski as completely stuffed up with a cold - nothing complicated but a platter of stunning regional cheeses and a glass of vin from an extensive by the glass list from regional, independent wineries. Service is relaxed, friendly and knowledgable. Wine list is superb.

We had lunch at this delightful restaurant after a ride from Villelongue de Conflent on the Little Yellow Train. La Chaumiere is well worth the walk uphill to Font Romeu from the train station. The food was excellent and the staff impeccable. Highly recommended!

It isn't often you find a restaurant that offers a combination of great service, knowledgeable and well informed staff and of course, great, local food. Restaurant Lassus meets all of these criteria.My family and I visited in August and even though the village, Boloquere is a very quiet location, the restaurant was full. Clearly good news travels fast.This family owned and managed restaurant was a joy. The Mother and Daughter waiting combination were attentive in a relaxed way. Many country French restaurants can be 'slow' to serve, this is not a negative comment but more of a different cultural approach to dinning out. Despite being busy, staff at Restaurant Lassus were able to give us the time we needed to enjoy our food and at no time did we feel rushed or ignored. They got the perfect balance. The Father is the main chef and also a very welcoming and friendly gentleman.In short, this is a great find and a restaurant I would certainly recommend.
