A very nice tearoom to take a beak after an afternoon of roaming the streets and 'remparts' of old Guérande.I recommend the delicious scones, in particular. The owner is very friendly and the outside sitting area provides welcome and relaxing shade, a bit off the beaten track of Guérande's busy shopping streets and tourist attractions.Gourmet teas and coffees are also on sale at a reasonable price.thank you

We had lunch here one day, didn’t book but just called in hoping for a table. Lucky for us, even though they were quite busy, the very friendly waitress managed to accommodate us. I had mussels, which were excellent. We really enjoyed the view from our table overlooking the harbour where you can watch the boat activity. Great food, nice staff and good location. A little restaurant to be recommended.

Les Sarmentss is situated just off the main street in La Turballe. This iscaveryb good value for money dining experience. Not fine dining but traditional French cuisine with a modern take. Everything is well cooked, presented and served by a very friendly and customer oriented staff.Highly reccomended.

On the advice of friends we stopped here for lunch - not crowded at all and the service was efficient. Steak/ frites and mussels were just fine. You can see the harbour activity from the terrace or inside the restaurant. If you want an excellent post meal drink - check out the collection of vintage Armagnacs behind the bar.

We come here regularly since 2005 and are very satisfied about the quality and friendlyness. Nice location near the harbour of La turballe. Price- quality is OK. They try to surprise you with their platters, sometimes a bit small portions (turbot f.i.) but always delicious. A la carte and nice menus.

Friendly welcome and attentive staff. Great seafood menu and for carnivores it appeared a good selection. Visited for a celebration and it didn't disappoint. It was recommended by a local and his judgement good. Not surprised that it heads the list in the town.

Au 17 Bis

Reviewed By F414

Five of us went on a very sunny Saturday in August. We had eaten in the town before, but never at Au 17 Bis.From the moment we arrived, the staff were great. We found a lovely shaded table and ordered from both the set menus. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and some of the menu choices were unusual and all was really lovely. We had some lovely wine and the waiter even noticed when I dropped my napkin and immediately appeared with a new one.I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

La Vigie

restau très sympa et gastronomique dans la commune élue plus belle commune du département. Cadre enchanteur sur le port, belleaaassassiettes

We visited la vigie for a birthday dinner. It is perhaps the best established restaurant in Piriac and has an enviable position by the water. However, we came away somewhat disappointed with the food and service. We knew it would be difficult for my wife, as a vegetarian to find an appropriate dish, but having informed the waiter and agreed that we would get a modified salad without meat, it was a little frustrating to see it arrive with several slices of duck breast on the side! Meanwhile, I ordered a faux fillet steak 'saignant', but it came back medium / well done. The redeeming aspect of the meal was the desserts, which were excellent - a Breton ice-cream speciality went down particularly well - but we got the impression that during the summer months, this restaurant doesn't have to try too hard to get its customers, and the service is a bit slapdash.

La Cabane a Huitres

Small, bistro style restaurant. Limited menu. Three of us had moules aux curry which were correctly priced with a devine sauce. Other members of our party had the steak and the fish and chips which although were very well cooked we considered to be a little expensive. If we were in the area again and fancied mussels we would definitely go again but would seek an alternative venue if we were looking for a more extensive menu offering more reasonable prices.

La Vieille Forge

Reviewed By Mylespetheter

We dined here to celebrate a friend's birthday; it's a great place for that special occasion. It's encouraging to find there are still good value restaurants in western France that take pride in serving up the best regional cuisine. Service is friendly and personal from the moment you arrive. The restaurant is split into 2 small rooms, one overlooking an attractive courtyard, so there is an intimate atmosphere. Everything is done correctly but not too formally. The emphasis is on your enjoyment of their cooking. Our table all chose from one of the set menus; even so we had difficulty choosing between tempting dishes. Naturally there is plenty of fish and shellfish on offer. The wine list is quite extensive and has some interesting to Loire valley and Bordeaux appellations to taste. We all admired the standard of cuisine in every course; it's quite unusual to find such consistency from amuse bouche to desert.
