We enjoyed touring around Normandy during the day - this hotel being well situated for Caen, Rouen and Bayeux but also surrounded by beautiful villages for walking and visiting. Stunning stay - we will definitely return - a fabulous chilled break from our busy working lives. Thank you!!

Reviewed By Clare POne point, if you have an automatic car, beware of the underground car park! We have a Volvo XC40 and nearly burnt out the gear box trying to get out. It took us 30 very stressed minutes. The hotel: really tired bed linen. Tiny bath towels. No complementary drinking water. We had a 3rd floor room, couldn't see out of the high windows, facing the square which was noisy up until 1.30am. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but breakfast was very good.

Quality hotel with great food
Reviewed By src1948Impressive modern hotel with excellent on site parking and friendly and efficient staff. Quality room, with good lighting, comfortable bed and adequate storage. Coffee machine (with coffee and tea options), though we couldn’t get it to work properly. Aircon, though it wasn’t possible to adjust it and we left the small double-glazed window open – a bit noisy, but cooler. Good size TV, but CNN the only channel in English. Nice bathroom, with modern walk-in shower, though lighting a bit dim. Separate and tiny WC. Large, attractive restaurant with good breakfast selection, attentive and professional staff and really excellent food at dinner. Far better than any of the meals in the four Mercures we also stayed at. Easy to find by car and a 15-20 minute walk to the interesting Cathedral.

Hidden gem
Reviewed By BobxxxxCindyWithout Hotels.com we would never have found this place. Hotel is directly on the Seine. It is tucked behind a railroad crossing on a road to nowhere. Room was decorated with a lot of fire engine red, but was very comfortable and nicely equipped. Great bed. Friendly staff. Near the bar so it was easy to fetch a bottle of wine to drink on the porch. Great restaurant in the hotel.

Reviewed By 796rachelBGreat stop over hotel just off the motorway. Under going a refurb so you get 10% discount from the steak house next door. Staff great especially the new chap on the late reception think his name began with an H?! Breakfast was great and good value.

Charming inn in old Normandy village

The location of the inn is right on the Seine River bank and provided a lovely backdrop to the location. Recommend this place for a relaxed and easy stay.

Small windows, tiny in wall cooling unit, one power plug for entire room, mismatched pillows of uncertain history. Dry wall patches and old mismatched and dinged up furniture. A metal stool is the only chair in the room. For a single woman traveler it’s unnerving that it’s a physical key which could easily be copied. I do think it’s clean which is a plus. The breakfast and dinner room are actually quite nice although both did not eat in them. Staff does not speak English and there are no elevators to reach the second floor rooms. All in all it’s a “hard pass,” and I’d look elsewhere for more than a nights stay.

An enjoyable stopover on our way back to England
Reviewed By Fred AAlways looking for somewhere 'different' to stay on our journeys back and forth to South West France, we decided on this very attractive chateau set in its own park in an almost non-existent village. Our room was large (we had a medium sized dog with us), and the bed (although two singles joined together) was very comfortable. Great shower in the bathroom too!. Service at reception was a bit 'hit and miss' and we were surprised to see keys left out for late arrivals (at 7pm!). Breakfast was simple but adequate, but expensive at €11 each. We also felt the charge for the dog €12 was a little high. On the whole we would stay there again as its location was very convenient

Reviewed By HRLindsayAfter many years of using Ibis/Ibis Budget for this stopover going south decided to change. No draught bierre blonde available at Ibis Styles! Campanile was perfect, especially if you are travelling with a dog. All rooms are direct access, plenty parking, gates closed in the evening, handy for restaurants, friendly staff, excellent value for money and draught lager and red wine for sale!
