East Grinstead is a town and civil parish in the northeastern corner of Mid Sussex district of West Sussex in England near the East Sussex, Surrey, and Kent borders. It lies 27 miles (43 km) south of London, 21 miles (34 km) north northeast of Brighton, and 38 miles (61 km) east northeast of the county town of Chichester. The civil parish covers an area of 2,443.45 hectares (6,037.9 acres) and had a population of 23,942 persons in the 2001 census. The population of the town at the 2011 Census was 26,383.

My wife and I ate in the restaurant one evening whilst staying overnight. Service was good, quick and friendly though restaurant not over busy.Food was enjoyable with a reasonable choice though a bit pricey. £15 for a meat pie with veg and mashed potatoes? Good choice of wines but why have the list printed on a scrappy bit of paper, I can't imagine that the choice changes on a daily basis. However, the wines were definitely over priced, especially as this is a pub restaurant.We enjoyed the meal but wouldn't go out of our way to revisit

Relax and enjoy a well presented, good quality meal in comfortable surroundings. We specialise in using local produce and source from local suppliers. Extensive drinks menu, with draught ales, fine wines all served by our welcoming staff.

We had two breakfasts and evening meals while staying at the hotel. On all occasions the staff were attentive, the food very good. When we stay in the area again we would certainly eat here again.

Fabulous choice chosen by good friends for a mid week dinner catch up. Delightful english country pub next to the cricket green with glorious sunsets from lovely outside seating area. The delicious food was swiftly delivered and was freshly cooked. All our needs were catered for by very frienndly staff . We have eaten here several times, and trust them to produce tasty food with very drinkable wine. OK it is pub grub rather than pretensious and over-priced so-called fine dining (if that is your thing I could name three establishments within a three mile radius, all of which have given me pains in the backside when I tried them). But horses for courses, Dunnings Old Mill is a winner.Thank you for taking time out to review us.Our food is is produced using fresh ingredients daily.Next time your in make sure you try our daily specials.Wine Wednesday buy two large glasses the rest of the bottle is free.Look out for new wine list in November See you again soon.
