False facade - not recommended
Reviewed By ADELAD_12Absolutely not a 4-stars hotel in any aspect. Very outdated amenities, which a newly painted facade cannot cover up. Dark hallways, not working phone, a rattling towel rack, crumbling paint in the bathroom and old tiles. Although the bed was confortable, the room had a particular musty smell and doesn’t correspond to a hotel in this range. However, we could have coped with all of this for a night if it wasn’t for the unacceptable treatment received. At our arrival the receptionist informed us that the air conditioning just failed. A little fun fact that wasn’t mentioned in our phone call one hour before. After a small research on booking and Google we found out different stories about the air conditioning told to customers through years. A non working air conditioning appears to be a long existing problem. With this pretext we were sent to a room different of what we have booked. This was the room with the musty penetrant smell and old amenities. We checked it and kindly ask for the original room. The nigh manager response was defensive and aggressive and he sent us to the “last room available”, which also wasn’t what we have booked. As the alternative room was unbearably hot and humid we had to stick with the smelly room. At the instant the night manager saw our disappointment, he directly suggested multiple times and insisted that we could also leave and find another hotel if we didn’t like the rooms. Having in mind that it was 9,30 pm and me being 8 months pregnant, his reaction was absolutely unprofessional and not worthy a 4 stars hotel.

Beautiful decor and amenities in a friendly hotel
Reviewed By krogue1Friendly and helpful staff. They even gave us an extra dog water bowl as we had forgotten ours. The room was beautiful. Only small complaints would be that there is no mirror in the bedroom or dressing so when partner is in bathroom, no mirror for getting ready. And the bed is very, very firm. Pillows also a bit firm. Good for my partner, not good for me ??♀️

Great overnight stop with dog
Reviewed By grumps2022Super friendly reception and restaurant staff. Very good meal served in good time. The beef bourgignon was so tasty I had two. Room clean and very handy to have outside door. Didn’t take breakfast because we were on a clock but I must say the buffet looked good.

You will like the stone stairs and the breakfast room located under the glass roof in the yard. And the size of the rooms. In add to the garage, you will find easily free parking places. Reviewed By Eddie_S57Old fashioned hotel with a lot of charm. Friendly staff made us feel a warm welcome. A lot of stairs and levels, We got a nice room in the front with river view. Exceptional good room since this was the day when Tour de France stage 7 ended just outside our holtelwindow. Amaizing to see most of the logistics and trucks and organisation. Very good and friendly breakfast. No AC, beware of mosquitos.

Reviewed By Michèle Hdommage, car l' hôtel l n'est pas mal. bien situé par rapport à l' autoroute, la restauration est convenable. mais la literie est totalement à revoir .Le matelas est posé sur un autre donc il glisse, l'alèze est en plastique et est donc bruyante et tient chaud et enfin l' oreiller est extrêmement dur et inconfortable. en conclusion à éviter si vous voulez dormir la nuit. ce qui est a priori le but visé quand on fait halte dans un hôtel

Reviewed By Helen DShort walk from town centre, easy to find, owner/manager very helpful and friendly. Private parking at the rear was great for a stopover. Room was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The only thing that could have been improved was the shower was a little tight. Overall, great hotel for the price we paid. Would stay again.

Reviewed By via051166I made this reservation by mistake (convinced to have booked the ibis hotel and not Ibis Budget Hotel). So the hotel, as brand name says, is budget so rooms and services are in line with the mission. Ratio quality/cost not too good because, normally for nearly the same price you could book at the Ibis (almost in front).

Friendly family hotel
Reviewed By marcusrickertOn our trip from France back to Germany we were looking for a decent hotel for a stop along the route. We found out it was actually pretty hard to find lodging for 2 adults and two children (ages 6 and 9) since four-bed rooms were usually quite expensive. Of course, the alternative to book two seperate rooms was not very cheap either. However, this hotel actually offered rooms ("chambre economique") at a price of 36.50€ per night which was acceptable. The rooms were sufficiently large and furnished. There were only two small disadvatages: the toilet was in a seperate room on the same floor and the light switch for the bath (part of the hotel room) could not be reached by a little child since it was located to high at the lamp above the bathroom mirror. The rooms were clean and the same was true for the toilet on the same floor. One of the rooms was slightly, the other room was heavily scented with a kind of perfume. If this was just a remainder of a cleaning liquid or it was done to cover up some bad smell we could not tell. The service in the hotel was very friendly. The owner does most work himself including opening front doors, receiving guests, cleaning breakfast tables and handling check outs. We paid 6.50€ for a French breakfast with baguettes and croissants. There was good coffee and decent juice. However, there was no meat or eggs. Our two children paid like one adult which is very fair because most other hotels that we checked charge the same amount for a little child as for an adult!
