The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is known for its temperate, cool climate – the coolest area in Sri Lanka.

This restaurant is mostly for buffet both times. The food is of different cuisine though not bad it lacks a personal touch from the chef. The staff is not so professional.

Just 6 days old newly opened franchise of "The Sizzle". was there with my wife for the lunch and we enjoyed well and would recommend everyone who wants a peaceful place to spend some time with their loved ones. Ambiance of this place is very good, not like typical Dark room experience you get in Colombo, this place would provide 180 degree view of nature. Very calm and cool place. Amazingly tasty great food and value for money. Staffs are well trained and very friendly. The Manager and his staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a large ensuite family room comprising of 2 x very comfortable king sized beds, comfy seating area, tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen tv, wardrobe & free standing mirror drawer system. The room could have been cleaner.... dust on the headboard thick enough to write your name in. Location is close to the town and Lake Gregory. Breakfast was okay. This hotel lacks personality.... very tired in places and needs a good lick of paint and an update. Extractor fan is a must in the ensuite, so much condensation. Plus, if a wardrobe is provided, wouldn't it be great for hangers too!

Nothing special here. Food was just ok, chicken masala tasted like it was packaged. A bit bland. Biriyani chicken also lacked flavor and texture. General atmosphere really lacking. Empty, drab interior. Uncomfortable seats. Service was fast and attentive, though at 845 they started mopping the floors with a very pungant flowery scented wash. Cant help but think theres a better time to be doing that then when guests are eating?? No alcohol served. We wish we'd chosen somewhere else.

Our driver recommended stopping here for a late lunch, it was a cafeteria style with lots of choice, we had an Indian meal and an Arabic meal and they were both really good! Our waiter S Manoraj was friendly, attentive and very helpful advising on vegetarian and spicy options!

Indian summer is very close to Gregory Lake. Well laid out with a sit out facing the lake. The restaurant seemed to hv a good turn over of clients. Food was very tasty. The chicken kofta curry was excellent. Well worth a visit.
