We stopped by here for lunch everything was ok but nothing exceptional. By the look of the last shop front photo here it looks as if they have expanded into a bakery as well.

My lovely wife and I popped into this little café for a hot drink and a piece of cake one afternoon. The ongoing Sri Lankan train strike had scuppered our plans of catching the train to Ella so we wanted to kick back and relax for a bit whilst recaliberating our plans. But the waiter had other ideas! He snatched away my coffee cup as soon as it was 80 percent gone, quickly brought us the bill on a little metal tray and then returned every minute or two thereafter to rattle said tray to encourage us to settle up. Incredibly rude but very amusing! In the end we ordered another round of drinks just to get him off our case. The drinks were cheap but poor quality. The cakes weren't bad. Short eats seemed popular with locals. I wouldn't return.

The establishment is clean and serves very generous portion. Staff was friendly and service was efficient. It is very centrally located and definitely a good place to indulge is some very decent halal food.

Although the surrounding is somewhat shabby, the place serves great SriLankan food. Food is on buffet and the prices are very reasonable. The place is very small and only a limited number of guests can dine in at a time.

As I've mentioned in other reviews we were looking for a meal that wasn't the same as the standard Sri Lankan menu. During our stay in Nuwara Eliya we ended up going 3 times for lunch. Downstairs is take-away and upstairs is a seated restaurant, which includes outside tables. Delivery is also available. Good wifi in store.

It's very headache for family travel in Sri Lanka When We facing very limited local food Selections, especially for kids. So We almost spent more time on searching a good restaurant than visiting a famous sightseeing place .Anyway We were lucky, China garden provided us the Best meal during our travel in Sri Lanka. This is not our 1st trip to Sri Lanka & Nuwara Eliya and the top service of Treve hosts made this Bungalow our 'country House' when we go 'up-country' side.This time we were very glad to taste their ideal home made pizza on the green misty terras.Trvene hosts Nisa & Dil remain same generous people that we met at the first time & with their new hotel ' Panorama' built near by, service has improved with number of personal, easy Wifi connection & restaurant.As usual we do not hesitate to recommend Trevene & their other hotels to people who wish to be in a familiar environment. Do not forget to taste 'Pizza' at Trevene.
