So happy we visited La Fonte! The pizzas were outstanding and the service was excellent. Also, they are very reasonably priced, which is a nice change of pace in Zurich!

We arrived at about 3 pm. Usually an "awkward" time for restaurants in Switzerland. Our very congenial waitress informed us that the only available items were salad and pizza. Perfect! We had both and the margarita pizza was perfect! Charming decor and very reasonably priced. My companion is a smoker, and I didn't find the "smoking room" the least bit offensive. The price, for Switzerland, was totally reasonable! 2 pizzas, 2 salads and 1/2 bottle of wine for under CHF 90? Amazing!I'll be back!

Scala

We tried "Scala" restaurant out of curiosity, and looking forward for a pizza (also considering other good TA reviews). The experience was extremely disappointing.I had the unlucky idea of starting with a "caprese": it was made of some slices of tomato, and 6 thin slices of normal mozzarella (the original one should be done with buffalo mozzarella!). Not sure that was really worth the price of 16CHF......As for the pizza, we had a "calabrese" (almost decent) and a pizza with ham (very basic, poor-quality ham). Also, I am not sure to understand why pizzas are prepared in an oval shape...We did not dare to ask for a dessert.Staff was relatively nice, and service was quick. In absolute terms, prices look reasonable, but if you consider the food/ingredients quality, it is simply not worth.Don't think I'll ever come back.
