When Chef Rene Weder and his partner and wife Mrs. Christine Weder-Uhlmann closed their Michelin starred restaurant in Walchwil my husband and I nearly cried. However, they are back and better than ever (shame we now have to drive to get there!). Chef Weder, true to his tradition, serves locally available and seasonal choices--now with a 4 course set menu (plus cheese and dessert, if you wish). No menus, and don't worry, you don't need them. Just show up, tell Chef if you are allergic or cannot eat certain things, and then sit back and enjoy an amazing dining experience. As always, the food is absolutely delicious but also beautifully prepared and a delight for the eyes as well. Both colors and flavors are bright, intense, and satisfying. To accompany your meal, allow Mrs. Weder-Uhlmann to select wines which will compliment each course perfectly. As if the superb food and wine pairings were not enough, Chef and Mrs. Weder-Uhlmann have created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. They have achieved the highest standard of cuisine and will serve it up with genuine pleasure to have you there.Do not miss this place, whatever you do. Because when Chef earns his second star, it's going to be a tough table to get!

We have eaten at this restaurant twice within the last two weeks with friends. The food is absolutely amazing and the atmosphere fantastic. The staff are wonderful. This is firmly on our favourite list for dining in Zug, such a lovely tasting experience.

Wonderful & cosy restaurant located in the center of Oberägeri in the canton of Zug. Every dish is just delicious, but if you ever make it there, you have to try the Schnitzel... simply devine!! We are going there quite regularly, and I can't wait for our next visit. Also the manager of the restaurant is simply fantastic. She makes anything to make your stay in this restaurant as nice as possible. From perfect wine recommendations to any extra wish you may have.

For a lunchtime visit at the end of May we could have expected to be sitting outside looking at Zugersee, but no, heavy rain sent us inside hoping for soup on the menu! Well, the lunchtime menu offered soup or self-service salad and bread plus a main meal for just over Chf 20, one of us had saffron/courgette risotto and the other had chicken and mushroom tagliatelle. The portion size was more than adequate and the food was very, very good.In addition the service was great, very friendly and helpful. All in all a very successful outing, with drinks and for around CHF 60.

My family and I were delighted with the very friendly and warm welcome we received from Guido and his wife Barbara. The menu provides a lot of choice and has a lot of seasonal favourites. My wife and I selected the filet on the hot stone and our daughter chose Wienerschnitzel. All were wonderful, but the filet was absolutely superb and our daughter vowed to order that the next time we were there.An excellent choice of wines and a family-friendly atmosphere made the whole experience delightful.We will certainly be back.

This is a place that I have eaten several times and never had anything less than an excellent meal.Private room with very festive decoration.The food was all good, but a special mention to the Bisque dâHomard and the Tournedos Rossini. Meat is always good here, but this time it was particularly succulent and tender. Bravo!Great wines and friendly and efficient service.Highly recommend, as ever!

Top restaurant, with very good service. We took the 5 courses menu, which was excellent. The chef surprised us with the 5 outstanding dishes. Definitely worth to go for dinner!One point for improvement, next time the waitress should not just mention the special of the day, but also quickly explain the card.
