Woodfour Brewing Co. anchors the trendy "Barlow" area of Sebastopol. Woodfour focuses on producing saisons, barrel aged, and sour beers, though offers other ales and lagers to choose from, whether you're just taking a beer break or making this a lunch or dinner stop. The four of us loved the "Airfwolf", an excellent Belgian-style amber ale (5«V) brewed with local wildflower honey. For lunch we ordered the following (menu description provided):-Fresh Rockfish Tacos- $12 New Ridge Lager Beer Batter, Fresh Pico, Red Cabbage, Sour Cream -Beer Braised Pork Tacos- $12 Crispy Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder, Salsa Verde, Onion, Queso Fresco -Guacamole- $8 Served with House Made Chips -Chicken, Pork or Sweet Potato Nachos- $12 Black beans, Cheese, Fresh Pico de Gallo, Jalapeno, Queso Fresco, Sour cream All of the above were thoroughly enjoyed by all as we shared at the table. (Note that the kitchen is closed on Mondays.)Next time in Sebastopol, we'll be back for more! Recommended!!

Gravenstein Grill offers locally sourced California Cuisine with a seasonal menu by Executive Chef Bob Simontacchi. The restaurant features two large outdoor seating areas, a spacious bar with a fireplace, and an elegant dining room.
My friend and I ate here for lunch recently. I have heard many promo spots for it on the radio, etc. We were in the area and thought we would give it a try. Service was good. I had asked for a pesto spread on my sandwich because I do not eat any type of aïoli. They have pesto on the menu so I figured it was not a big deal. Our server said he would have to check with the âchef.â He came back and said the chef said ânoâ. I am in the industry and did not think my request was too much. The sandwich came and there was a decent size piece of chicken breast on a soggy roll. There was one VERY small piece of tomato and onion for the entire sandwich. The lettuce was chopped and browned on the edges. With those three ingredients on the sandwich already it was quite mushy. There was a scattering of french fries on the plate as well. For the price, I expected much more. I have no desire to return.Hi Cscac,I'm sorry to hear that was your experience here. We are usually very accommodating with special requests, so I'm not sure why your server was told we couldn't put some pesto on your sandwich. I'd be happy to make it up to you in some way to show our goodwill and as an apology for the way your visit here went.My email is [email protected] if you'd like to talk! Thanks again for your feedback, and I hope there's some way we can make it up to you.Sincerely,Brandon ParkhurstGravenstein Grill

Huge, casual, ark-y barn of a place in downtown Sebastopol is probably a fun place to come with a group of friends for drinks and music. Variety of types of seating: regular picnic-like tables, chairs around the fire pits which look like fun, some outside seating. Not so much a dinner spot. Large selection of beers and casual fare. Had a decent hamburger and a draft. Perfectly fine. Slow service.
