The people that work there are very kind, they don’t speak English, but we made it work. Nice room with an amazing view. The food was cheap but ok for the price you pay for it.. (15 euros for soup, main dish, dessert and half a bottle of wine)

A beautiful setting, with amazing views across distant landcsapes to the hills, with pretty village & church bells ringing. Really idyllic. The quinta itself is a work of love, and the pride and warmth from the owners shines through in every detail. There are lots of lovely touches: the infinity pool facing out to sunset, hammocks scattered around the garden, lovely flowers, the old buildings etc All the staff (all family?) were super friendly: nothing was too much trouble. It is B&B -- though they do have a bar service all day with some killer G&Ts. The breakfast was delicious: very tasty fresh fruit etc There are still some glitches in the finish of the building ("snagging list") so don't expect fully slick finish: but the warmth and character more than make up for that. Highly recommended

Beira Rio form Geres is a housing unit located in one of the entries of the Peneda-Geres National Park. It offers a cozy and familiar ambience and also have direct access to the River. And just two steps from Casa Beira Rio you can find some tourist activities such as boating, jet-ski, quads, 4x4 and horse rides. Feel welcome to enjoy the natural beauty of unmistakable Geres in a ideal place to rest and recharge. We invite you to know Geres!
This accommodation was excellent value for money, the views were great. The area was well suited for our biking needs. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice also well priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable but a bit on the small side, that said they were only for sleeping in, our room had access to a huge terrace which had wrap around views of the lake and hills. The bar had inside and outside seating, the staff were very friendly and helpful. If in the area again we would definately use this property again.

To anyone who wants the true beauty of the Portuguese countryside I would warmly recommend this. The immense hospitality of this wine growing caught my heart. The pool is amazing overlooking the incredible forest mountains. This house is an old mansion house that has been in the family for generations, now renovated by the father of the family.

What words to use to describe this gem... because that is what it is; a gem. It is what you want it to be, a house, two appartments or 5 hotelrooms. We booked two rooms with breakfast. The owners showed us around in the house were a cake was awaiting us in the kitchen. The rooms are lovely decorated in a nice subtle colour-theme. The cake was homemade and delicious. The breakfast was superb! On could not ask for more. Every morning a different egg-dish, fresly squized orange juice, sweet pastries... and loads of fresh fruits. The garden is big with a nice pool and different places to sit in sun or shade. We used the patio for a BBQ and even there we had a fridge and coffeemachine to our use. The wood for the BBQ was cut and ready. It was wonderful!! Elsa and Joaquim are nice, caring and loving hosts and spoil their gasts! And the house is situated on 45 minutes from Porto so a great spot if you wat to see something more of Portugal like Guimaraes, Braga, Ponte de Lima and other lovely villages.

Lugar muito relaxante no exterior. É uma casa de eventos mas também funciona como restaurante. Pessoal muito simpático e agradável. Comida caseira. Muito saborosa e tenrinha. Preços dentro do normal.

Wow, wow what a gem of a find, really loves this place, stayed here for 1 night with my wife and daughter, we arrived later then planned and were warmly welcomed on arrival. This place has so much more to offer than what you expect, it is quiet and remote, but easy commute to local amenities if needed, but the renovation of the place is outstanding and completed to a high standard, the breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared, we were very well hosted by the kind grand daughter who was excellent and Was so kind to us and arranged a little tour with the grandparents to show us a little history on the place too. Thank you so much , we will definitely return :)
