Dined here on our final night in Poland and were looking for something special.
The old czars railway cottage is a loverly building and nicely restored in keeping with its heritage.
Good, efficient and helpful Waitstaff who speak excellent English ( important for non poles!).
The meals we selected were a mix of fabulous to a bit ordinary, with the pheasant soup falling into the later category. The salad with czar's cheese and sturgeon were top quality while the other main of quail while nicely presented, was a little on the tough side.
Wine by the glass is a bit limited but our selection of a Spanish red was nice, and the coffee to finish was very good.
The cost was about double that of the other highly rated restuarant in town. Was the additional cost made up in the dining experience...probably not

Restaurant consists of 3 different rooms. Main one is often occupied by hotel guests that have HB option. Second one is goos for families with children becasue of decent baby corner. Third one is amazing! This is hunter's room with plenty of stuffed animials and fire place. Food is very good (not best in Białowieża but one of the tops). Good wild boar, nice pielmieni (little dumplings tipical for that region and for Belarus) tender deer and perfect pancakes (my daughter loved that!). In general must go place if you are in Białowieża.

The restaurant is located on the main street of Bialowieza town, in the centre of Primeval Forest. It offers exquisite and delicious dishes of local cuisine, served in a friendly athmosphere and elegant environment. We place an emphasis on the freshness and healthiness of our food, and we try to use only organic and ecological ingredients.
We had a phenomenal meal at Stoczek 1929. They had an excellent drink selection including several local craft beers that we enjoyed. We had venison carpaccio as an appetizer, roasted duck and deer haunch as our entrees, and finished with Marcinek, a polish layered cake. It was the best meal we had during our visit to Poland and we highly recommend it.

Restaurant has an excellent location on the way from Bialowieza to Hajnowka, and is a perfect rest station for those who travel through Bialowieza Forest by bike. Nice staff offered quite short list of traditional and regional food but in prices like in the most representative street of Warsaw (Capital of Poland). Comparing to Western Europe prices there is still relatively cheap, but much better food in more reasonable prices you can find in Bialowieza or Hajnowka. Net if you still have enough energy to reach one of those cities – do it!

Karczma touches the walls of the ancient forest, where often in the same window comes up the royal bison. One of the basic elements of tradition and culture is a kitchen where is serves our regional dishes: Russian soup solyanka, siberian pelmieni with meat and Napoleon cake.
The restaurant is located some 7 km from Bialowieza, in a kind of an open-air ethnographic museum. The huts, nice at a first glance, have very mediocre interior with furniture not antique, not modern, just tasteless.
The waiter service was prompt and attentive but the food...
We gave a pass to a bison steak at $50 and ordered instead a mashroom soup and two varietes of Russian dumplings. The soup was so-so but the dumplings were barely eatable.
The meat variety was dry but was supposed to come with garlic sauce... ,alas, the cook must have concidered the garlic sauce as the very expensive item since he chose to serve only one spoon of it (for a portion of 15 dumplings, $9) Shame.
The barley and cottage cheese variety was a bit better but still rather bland ($9, too).

Visited this small gemütlich restaurant two times for dinner. Each time was very good. Had the fish with green vegetables followed by ceesecake the first night, and the deer goulash with potato cakes the second night. Both occasions were great! There is an english translation of the menu. Highly recommended.

This place is, as most places in Białowieża, serving traditional food and game meat. The place is really nice inside and the service was a bit informal but really nice. The prices are good for the food you get and the food is tasting good.
