Requires Improvement

Reviewed By Goldiesmummy

There is a lot of room for improvement 1. The food is AWFUL, BLEND, LIMITED, and no options as meals are set. No options for people with allergies and intolerance. You are told “we have deer on the menu for main today “ if you don’t eat deer that’s tough I guess. No variety at all and no puffing for special dietary requirements. 2. No housekeeping through out the week stay 3. The whole hotel had no caffeine free teas so if you can’t take caffeine tough . The whole week 4. Loud bass music through out the night if you have kids they won’t sleep 5. It cost £70 to get a taxi to the nearest shop which is 10 min away 6. The resort is 3 hours from the airport 7. The corridors are a filthy as there is no house keeping 8. There was no microwave in time apartment 9. I starved most of the time as I have food allergies and intolerances THE ROOMS ARE DUSTY!! 10. No cash machine on site In general the people in Norway are so rude, they push through no excuse me or please . Positive It’s a lovely resort and just needs food, housekeepers Ski instructors Sebastian (adult instructor )and Erasmus were Amazing! Lucy in the restaurant was trying her outmost best to get other options but clearly they didn’t exist . Mario was good too but limited by the hotel Facilities are good Staff are very friendly Beautiful apartment although they should get a double bed in master bedroom

Being a director of a company it is hard to shut down, but at Nordic Chalets I totally relaxed. The food was great, the beds were comfortable and the skiing was fantastic. It is a beautiful chalet with stunning views. Having the place to ourselves at the beginning of week felt like our own private ski resort and our hosts could not do enough for us.

Good value compared with the Pers resort

Reviewed By abcnord

Our initial plan was to book at Pers Hotel/Resort. However they accepted only bookings for full board stay during weekends. As this did not suit our needs, we instead booked the cottages. Turned out to be a lucky move, as when having breakfast/an evening drink at the hotel we found it extremely noisy there. Probably best suited for families with kids, used to yelling and running The location of the cabins are good, just steps away from the shops and a few cafes/eateries at the mainstreet of GOl. Check in at a reception opposite to the entrance to Pers resort We foundt the cabins acceptable value at about NOK 700 a night, inlcuding linen and cleaning. However we would not recommend that more than 2 people stay in the hytte. They are on the small side. One comfortable queen size bed in the main room, more beds at the loft/ mezzanine above. Well working heathing and plenty of hot water. Basic equipment for preparing meals, big fridge. Possible to have breakfast at the hotel - at 155 NOK per person. However our expereience is that it is not good value. Normal selection of eggs, cold cuts, cereal. After Norwegians standards rather poor on bread. And really not a good start of the day to have the chorus of all those yelling kids around you The cabins have small balcony with furniture, overlooking the river. Across the river is the Gordarike viking topic fun park. Probably can be disturbed by parking and activity there are peak season. At present (September) very peaceful Staying at the cabins gives you a discount at the Tropicana at the resort, where there is pools /slides etc - we did not try it.

Stod ikke til forventningen

Reviewed By Hege B
