With sparkling fjords lacing its coastline and soaring mountains dotting its interior, Norway could rightfully claim to be one of the world's most beautiful countries. A progressive society, thriving cultural scene, and free camping in most areas make Norway a great place to visit.

This place is incredible. I went with my wife and kid and we had a suite in the main lodge. The location is stunningly beautiful, the lodging is very nice, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Plus, there's good stuff to do nearby, and there are a hot tub and sauna on site. What more could you want?

Cultural-historical accommodations in Svolvaer. Modernised in 2012. Lofoten Rorbuer is situated in a central and sunny location in Svolvaer town centre and only a short distance from the fishing grounds, the beach, the mountains and the famous Svolvaergeita peak. Lofoten Rorbuer consists of a total of 14 units, accommodating 2 to 4 persons per unit. Eight of the units are equipped with a kitchenette, TV and stereo. Shared bathroom and shower. There is also a shared kitchen and loft lounge. NEW! This winter we have build new apartments with 2 double rooms, kitchen and bathroom. History The seahouse (sjohus) is one of the oldest quayside buildings in Svolvaer. It was built in 1850 and was formerly situated on the island of Svinoya, next to the Borsen Spiseri restaurant, before it was relocated to Marinepollen in 1938. After it was moved, the seahouse was used as a fish landing station and as lodgings and storage room for fishermen. In more recent years it has been restored and redeveloped into overnight accommodations.
Cozy and clean accommodation with nice views to the harbour. Friendly service. Had a good sleep in here! Big kitchen was also available so could easily cook the breakfast. Everything functioned very well, recommendation!

After an extensive renovation, Hovde Gard opened their doors in March 2009 as a hotel, restaurant, spa and guest principal for conferences, weddings and partys, and can now offer 35 modern and elegant rooms. Hovde Gard has its own boat house, a 49 meter catamaran to be used in tours for groups up to 20 people.
The place is really wonderful, a combination of historical grandeur and modern comfort. Friendly service, comfortable rooms, great food in nice surroundings. What more can you wish for. A great change from a never ending home office - recommended for everybody in Trondheim, and of course beyond.

We are a family-oriented campground located on a large fresh-water lake. Fishing and swimming are also available at no extra charge. Many hiking trails on, or near the campground and we are only 30 min drive from the world-famous Prekestolen (Pulpit Rock). Come alone, bring a friend or come with your family for a nature-filled vacation in beautiful NORWAY.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the standards of our 2-bedroom cabin! Given that the booking website did not provide photos from inside the cabins (and our previous experience with such cabins elsewhere has been rather dreadful), we were expecting the worst. However, our cabin was spacious and bright with running water and a sufficiently equipped kitchen. It was obvious the cabin had been cleaned, and fresh linen was already on the bed and included in the price. It was also great to have an in-house shower and toilet, although the shower could do with a small repair of the water outflow. The effort from the owner to provide a cozy cabin is greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

You find our hotel resort in the heart of the Lofoten Islands, in picturesque Mortsund harbor. In a place where fishermen once spent the season in rorbuer built at the water’s edge you will treat yourself to a truly authentic Lofoten experience. Our cabins offer up to three bedrooms and feature ensuite bathrooms and kitchenettes. Ask for a private balcony. You can catch your meal right at your doorsteps or book dinner at our restaurant. Mt. Middagstinden waits for you to enjoy the sensational view over our bay. Leknes airport is within reach, and so is the Hurtigruten stop at Stamsund harbor (20 minutes each). Popular destinations on the Vestvågøy island – such as the Haukland and Unstad beaches, Mt. Skottinden or the Viking Museum are just a stone’s throw away.
Statles Rorbuer are newly built flats, basically, with a great location around 20 mins drive from Leknes. Great area for hiking, fishing and the general Lofoten experience. We had a great rorbu with outdoor seating, two bedrooms, two baths and a living room with a kitchen section. A bit surprising that they only provide 4 glasses, 4 plates etc - means you will need to do dishes or run the dishwasher if you stay more than one night. But everything was clean and check-in fast.

Atlanterhavsveien Sjostuer is located right in the centre of a number of salty adventures. We will be able to welcome you to a new, high-standard holiday resort. We offer new cabins with distinctive features, situated close to the sea and the beach. The cabins have new and safe motorboats available. In the immediate vicinity you will find the open sea and fjords with masses of good fishing spots. The Atlantic Road is our closest neighbour. Cycling or waking out to the outermost islets is an experience not to be missed. As your hosts, we will do our utmost to make your stay enjoyable.
We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cabins are cozy, it’s right by the ocean and the Atlantic road. We had super nice weather, but it would be kinda exciting to stay here when it’s a bit rough out too. Really do recommend this place. The staff is super nice, it’s clean and a lot of stuff to do around here.

The Ongajok Mountain Lodge is situated literally at the end of a road, in the wilderness of the north of Norway, but still just 28 kilometres from Alta Airport. The lodge comprises nine buildings surrounding a small yard. All the buildings are built in the traditional Norwegian mountain farm style. There is a main building, a meeting room and 16 spacious guest rooms, many featuring a loft. You can also stay in a Lavvo, a traditional Sami tent. A special experience we offer all the year round - even in winter. The reception and the cosy dining room are located in the main building. We can host individual guests and groups of up to 35 people, conferences and meetings for up to 30 guests and weddings and other family events for up to 45 guests . And Ongajok offers a broad range of activities, both in summer and winter. On snowmobiles we take you to a breathtaking tour up the mountains. In summer you can walk with the huskies and in winter you can go on a dog sledding tour. And our own reindeer enclosure is an attraction all the year round.
Went to this peaceful and very both beautiful and relaxing place after a long drive to Nordkapp with following hike to knivskjellodden. The drive here is so worth it, its a little far from everything else, and the "road" there is bumpy and only getting smaller, but I loved it all the way. The food there is very delicious, the staff is from around the world and very friendly and helpful. Do sleep here a night or two if you are in the area it's so worth it!

Welcome to the Dovrefjell national park. Hjerkinn Fjellstue og Fjellridning have long traditions hosting travellers, and we have provided friendly, high-quality accommodation for hikers and visitors for 1200 years. One or several nights in fresh, crisp mountain air is good for you! We have hotel rooms, apartments, a pilegrim hut and camping facilities. You can eat at our restaurant or cater for yourself, whatever you prefer. Hotel rooms The rooms in the hotel were built in 1992 and renovated in 2012. We have four single rooms and 22 double rooms situated in the main building, next to the reception and restaurant. The rooms include breakfast, bed linen and towels, as well as a private bathroom with shower and wc, TV, and free wifi. Apartments The annex have 12 apartments built in 2014, and are available to rent all year round. Each unit have 1-2 bedrooms with family bunk beds (150 cm lower berth and 90 cm upper berth), bathroom, kitchen, living room, free wifi and a common porch with a jaccuzzi. For the apartments you can either bring your own or rent bed linen and towels. End cleaning can be booked unless you want to clean after yourself. Camping facilities Our camping facilities have room for 40 caravans or tents, spread between three levels, overlooking the horses, mountains and Hjerkinnvannet. Power points are found on each level, and shower facilities and kitchen are placed in a sanitary house. Pilegrim hut The pilegrim hut is a small, cosy timber hut situated between the reception and the camping facilities. It contains five beds and has electricity. Showers, wc and a small kitchen is found in the camping facilities nearby. The pilegrim hut is for those travelling alone on a budget and wish to share accommodation. We serve breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is served between 07.30-09.30 am and will give your day a good start. We offer make-your-own lunch packs and hot drinks for the thermos for sale. A buffet dinner is served at 07.00 pm. Breakfast is included when staying in a hotel room. For those staying in an apartment or in the camping facilities meals can be booked in the reception. We are situated in the middle of Norway and have the mountains on our doorstep, with high altitude tops and quiet valleys. Great experiences are everywhere! The Pilegrim route travels through our courtyard, and there are many hiking routes. Places for overnight accommodation in Dovrefjell, Rondane and Dovrefjell national park are situated one day hike from us. The musk ox is the most exotic creature you can meet at Dovrefjell. We recommend a guided trip, either on foot, arranged every day in the summer season by our neighbours at Hjerkinnhus or Furuhaugli, or on horseback every Saturday by us. Hjerkinn Fjellstue and Fjellridning is the only place in the world offering musk ox safari on horseback!
When the sign above the gate reads (in Norwegian) "Nightly for Travelers Through 1200 years" you know you are walking into history. Hjerkinn Fjellstue is a lovely property situated along the St. Olavs Ways, or pilgrimsleden. It has a lovely view of mountains and lake. There are horses to ride, bicycles to rent, and PFDs near the entrance hinted at boat rentals. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The lobby has comfortable seating for groups and individuals, with a quieter library nook upstairs. The dinner buffet is delicious and varied, with a fantastic selection of cheeses and bread. The breakfast buffet is ample, and bags and wraps are available so you can pack your matpakke for whichever adventure you decide to choose for the day. My most beautiful pictures from two weeks in Norway were taken within one hour's hike from here. I can't wait to return!

Four friends enjoyed three nights at this modern and friendly location 1430 m along the spectacular road on Sognefjellet. We had booked the best rooms with a view towards the Smørsstabbbreen glacier, with separate bathroom. Clean and rather simple with a fantastic mountain view. Very friendly and welcoming staff always helping us with everything. Good and varied three course meals with not the cheapest ingredients (like halibut). Good breakfast too. Two marvellous tracking days in sunshine and blue skies also supported the great impression on this place.
