This open-air museum (non-official translation: The Park of Miniatures of Podlasie Landmarked Buildings) presents some miniatures of buildings placed in the region of Podlasie: palaces, synagogues, and churches, both catholic and orthodox. Most of them exsist currently, but some of them were destroyed. The latter group include The Russian Cesar's summer palace in Bialowieza, or the holy place of the Orthodox Church - Grabarka Church. You can only see their models in the museum. Every miniature is described - you may read the basic facts about history of the building. The stories are short, but interesting, sometimes fascinating.
Creative and useful experience.

Z uwagi na fakt, że źle znoszę obecność komarów byłam wykończona tą podróżą przez puszczę 1 godz, w jedną stronę- przerwa 1 godz. i powrót 1 godz.Wycieczka łącznie trzy godzinna.Fajnie ,że zobaczyłam i na tym koniec.Na przyszłość pamiętajcie o zabezpieczeniu przeciw Komarom, bo dla osób wrażliwych kiepsko może się skończyć. Do dzisiaj odczuwam przykre dolegliwości. Na pewno radocha dla dzieci.......

Budynek wygląda niepozornie, ale w środku przywitał nas przemiły Pan Stanisław Mierzwiński. To prawdziwy fachowiec i pasjonata. Mogłabym go słuchać kilka godzin. Żartuje, zagaduje, wciąga nas w swoje opowieści. Pokazał nam na czym to wszystko polegało od zarania dziejów aż do dzisiaj. Potem pokazał zgromadzone eksponaty, a na koniec zaprosił do starej kuźni, gdzie syn mógł spróbować jak to było. Stwierdził, że jednak woli chodzić do szkoły, zamiast być pomocnikiem kowala.
Prywatne Muzeum Kowalstwa i Ślusarstwa istnieje od 25 lipca 2003 r. Powstało z inicjatywy Pana Stanisława Mierzwińskiego na bazie rodzinnej kuźni, założonej w 1927 r. Chciał w ten sposób nie tylko kultywować rodzinne tradycje, ale także pokazać, jak wyglądała praca wiejskiego kowala, zaliczanego dawniej do elity rzemieślników. Pan Stanisław – „ostatni z rodziny kowali hajnowskich”, jak mówią o nim ludzie, zgromadził w swoim muzeum kilkaset eksponatów. Są tu różne narzędzia, wyroby i urządzenia kowalskie, maszyny rolnicze, modele pieców, urządzenia niezbędne do wytopu żelaza z rud darniowych, żużle po piecowiskach z okresu prehistorycznego, maszyny i urządzenia rolnicze.
Na koniec wpisaliśmy się do księgi pamiątkowej. Zapytaliśmy o opłatę, a tu niespodzianka ..... ile chcemy możemy wrzucić do słoiczka
Pewnie tam wrócimy.
