An old farmstead with buldings from many generations that carries the history of the village and the region. Nestled in between snow capped peaks and the fjord, this place offers amazing views, rustic charm and countryside calm in abundance. Activities range from soothing countryside walks to fjord fishing, trekking and mountaineering. Be sure to also take the trip up to the mountain village of Bostolen where you can walk to beautiful mountain lakes.

Gammel-Kleppe Gardshotell

Gammel-Kleppe is a protected farm with rooms and smaller and larger suites. We offer dinner if booked ahead; either at the farm kitchen or as a 3-course dinner in the evening. Unique farm with a combination of traditional buildings and modern comfort. Wine, beer and strong liquor rights.

A lovely experience

Reviewed By Raggsteindalen

The most delightful thing about Gammel Kleppe are the hosts, who have the wonderful capacity of making you feel like old friends after 15 minutes. The dinner (which needs to be pre-booked) would have been excellent at a first class city restaurant, and the traditional Norwegian breakfast had only the finest quality local ingredients. The old farmstead is a glorious collection of buildings, and the view down in the valley to Lalm and the road to Otta, with all the birch trees a blaze of yellow is marvelous. We spent a night northbound from Oslo to a trip in South Trondelag and Møre og Romsdal and liked it so much we booked another night eight days later on our way back to Oslo

Idyllisk plass med sjel

Reviewed By siv E

Fantastisk sted. Fantastisk vertskap, vanvittig natur. Idyllisk plass med dyr, hus og hyttene strategisk plassert for å gi gjestene rett følelse med gård, natur og den fine beliggenheten i forhold til sentrum i Lom. Ligger akkurat passe langt unna sentrum. Vil tro at plassen ligger fantastisk i forhold til dagsturer i Jotunheimen.

Sveinhaug Farm & Heritage Hotel

This lovely and unique farm house has been restored to it's former glory; the magnificent colours, stencil decorations, marbling and graining from the 1860's. The currant owner has received several national distinctions for her restauration work, for the delicious food, and for her ability of presenting the history to her guests. You will be served three course dinner and breakfast in the charming parlours. These are also used for meetings, seminars, parties and open events. During the summer season, the Good Weather Cafe in the garden serves home bakes, fresh organic lunch dishes and delicious drinks. The ingredients are mostly sourced from our organic kitchen garden. The garden shop and the art gallery are also open in the summer. Sveinhaug is located just opposite Ringsaker Church (A.D.1150)- perfect cycling distance through gentle, rolling farmland - north of beautiful Nes and Helgoya, - "The Holy Island", in the lake Mjosa. Sveinhaug's history stretches back more than a thousand years, placed as it is at the very center of old Ringsaker. It takes it's name from the noble man Svein's burial mound on the farm, dated AD 600. The Pilgrim's Path to Trondheim and the cycle route "Mjostrakk" go past the property. Sveinhaug is also close to a public beach and a marina.

Huse Gjestegard

You will find us in Kinsarvik, the hart of the Hardanger Fjord. Huse Gjestegard is a farm that has stood here since 1826 and was previously part of the cluster yard at Huse. The main building was extended for the last time in 1924. We have gradually restored the house to recreate the original style but with modern comfort. We run today a traditional farm with sheep, and taking in addition guests, for overnight stays.

Great stay in Kinsarvik.

Excelent stay at a wonderful place. Everything was as published on internet site, no surprises. Quiet and beautiful with surroundings. Good bed, recently reformed bathroo, working kitchen appliances and enough room for a family of four. Would reccommend to anyone intersted in visiting the area.
