I worked today in Oceanside and hoteled it near John Wayne airport. I ate tonight in Tustin at the Winery Restaurant and Bar. It was great!!! I got there early due to me staying on East Coast time but it didn't matter. Noel, the bartender, talked to the culinary staff and talked them into serving me food about 70 early!!!! I loved it!!! I ordered the Calamari for an appetizer and there was so much!!!!! It was a meal in itself. I then ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was great too. The food was super-excellent. I also had a pinot noir and a New Zealand SB...but were very tasty. In the meantime my new server, Krystal, took over and did a heck of a job. She was so nice and personable and made the whole experience super duper...thanks Krystal!!!!! Try this place when in So Cal!!! It's the BEST!!!!!

As we were escorted to our table we were able to admire fresh fish and beautiful cuts of steak. We were promptly seated and provided menus. Our waiter was informative, and dealt with several trips back and forth till we were ready to choose our food. There were some delays in our ultimate order placement, and from the appetizers to the entrees. This may have been impacted by a very large group seated some time after us. We decided to try both calamari appetizers and all enjoyed the dragon version, more mixed reviews on the standard breaded version. Some found the latter batter a bit heavy. There was a small cup of dip for this, could have been more generous to match the generous amount of calamari. Most of us tried the tasting menu with good success including a large ceviche portion, ceasar salads and good sized fish servings (sea bass, snapper) and a huge bowl of ciopinno. One person opted for steak which was another large portion. The lobster bisque was creamy though a bit of sweetness and unclear lobster input. My chopped salad was also quite generous and nicely dressed. Desserts were the flourless chocolate cake, also sizeable servings and a small creme brulee with fresh berries. Wine list was decent depth, though mostly higher price range. Overall a good, not amazing experience.Napalovers,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We had a concert at the Honda center and this restaurant is directly across the street and was next to our hotel. The food was good - we had a French dip and a burger. I liked the sauces for the sandwich and the sweet potato fries. Besides location, the cocktails and the service were excellent. Even though they were swamped the servers were attentive and professional. The patio was great. We sat at the fire pit after the concert and had the beer pretzel with more cocktails. The pretzel was perfect! Fun spot for both before and after an event.

Wow what a view thatâs about where the wow stops in this old out of date steak house. The service was very good but the food was just average at best. This old tired place is in bad need of a menu refresh. The salad bar was nice and everything was fresh. My tenderloin was ok but nothing special with a sad excuse of béarnaise sauce and a couple sautéed mushrooms with perfectly cooked vegetables lacking any seasoning.

We arrived at 7 pm for dinner and the restaurant was very busy. Service was excellent. The waitress was very pleasant and courteous and brought us free refills of our Coke Zero without us having to ask for refills. The bloom crust centre cut sirloin was tender and tasty. The jacket potato was tasty but a little salty.

We went with a group of eight and were all thoroughly pleased. Service was attentive, congenial and efficient - thank you Rob! The setting is warm and inviting and even with a crowded dining room it was not too loud. Saving the best until last --- the meal was over the top delicious. My husband and I split the meal. We started with a HUGE artichoke which had an incredible sauce. Then we split the lamb chops - also HUGE and ever so tender! The chef sent us complimentary tomatoe water -- an infusion of tomatoes and water. Finally came the dessert - a cheesecake that was so light. It was huge again. A MUST RETURN PLACE!!

We came here for Motherâs Day celebration and the lunch was great. We had the scallops, calamari, sea bass, chefs cut ribeye, Mac and Cheese, asparagus and mashed potatoes. Each dish was excellent and fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. All the sides and the scallops were delicious. We have never had a bad meal at Mastroâs Steakhouse.

We love our steaks and were excited to try Ruth's Chris. The four of us got the Tomahawk and the Porterhouse to share. Both were disappointing. We asked them to hold the butter because we wanted to try the original flavor, and honestly, you don't need to add butter to a really piece of steak. The beef was dry, even tho it was not overcooked and the texture was a little hard to chew. It also lacked seasoning. In the end we asked for butter AND salt. They only had regular sea salt. I've had better steaks on the plane with proper rock salt. The service on the hand was great. Chocolate duo for dessert was pretty good. Creme brûlée was average. Overall we were quite disappointed and would not recommend Ruth's Chris. Thank you for your candid review. We strive for the highest brand standards in terms of quality, service and atmosphere. We always look forward to their "Waru and wine" event each Fall and this time is no exception. Receiving an early bird invitation we got there on Saturday around 5pm to availability in the lounge. Our foursome they occomadated by pushing two pub table together which made for a comfortable arrangement. The red wines they are pairing this year are exceptional. We were able to taste all three and you can't go wrong with either the wine or burgers. Don't miss this event only running for six weeks. Quite the culinary bargain. and as always service is spectacular.
