Excellent service, excellent food. We use this restaurant regularly and are never disappointed. Our latest visit was with friends for their first visit, and they were really impressed with the choice and quality of the food. Needless to say, I think they will be returning there soon. One restaurant to really enjoy in Puerto Lumbreras.

We were staying in the hotel, so it was perfect for our needs, but also convenient for travellers on the A7. Good local/Spanish cuisine, with pleasant efficient service. The highlight of our dinner was their gambas al ajillo - meaty prawns served with toasted bread and prawn mayonnaise/mousse.

Pizzeria offers a good range of toppings including vegetarian and possible to build your own to specific topping requirements. All made fresh to order and possibly speediest service I have experienced for pizza in Spain. Efficient staff and all reasonably priced.

contemporary decor, inventive and delicious food, excellent service - definitely worth a journey, edges towards "nouveue cuisine" in presentation style but more than sufficient for healthy appetites, they do a fabulous set series of dinner courses which are very well presented and extremely tasty, they also do a "menu del dia" at lunchtime at an excellent price

The first time I went here I was disappointed with the food and the service and decided not to return. I did however give it another chance and was pleasantly surprised. Our usual restaurant was fully booked due to a party, so tried El Ruedo and so glad we did. The staff were all lovely. Very friendly and would do anything to help.The food we got was absolutely delicious. Very high quality compared to local bars etc but prices did reflect this. Had a great night and meal. Would certainly go back when we're back visiting in the area.

Wonderful food comes out of the kitchen at this restaurant. The restaurant itself has a little too much timber cladding for my taste but this does not detract from the excellent food and the great service. Quality ingredients that are presented very well on plate. Probably best restaurant in town? We went here on recommendation and were not disappointed.

We visited this lovely local restaurant 4 times over Christmas & New Year 2011/2012. We found it quite by accident one lunchtime as we were driving around. It's about 1 mile from the centre of Lorca, near Almenara Shopping Centre. It is a typically Spanish family run restaurant with a very good Menu Del Dia buffet lunch for 6.8 euros, which is exceptional value for money, good quality and delicious. It is frequented by locals, so you know it is going to be good. The restaurant is very traditional and 'Spanish' with a log fire burning in the corner. We didn't eat from the main menu, but I'm sure it will be excellent if the menu del dia is anything to go by.I've no idea if any of the staff speak English (I would be surprised if they do) as we used our poor Spanish to communicate, but as it's a lunchtime buffet, that wouldn't be a big issue as you can choose what you want to eat from a starter salad bar, a soup, at least 4 dishes for the main and then cake, fruit or ice cream for dessert. The restaurant is in it's own grounds with a large car park, large terrace with lots of tables and chairs and a seperate venue for weddings etc.The staff were all friendly and professional and we will certainely be going back there this summer.
