What a fabulous place! completely delicious, traditional, wholesome food that cannot and should not be hurried. The service was friendly and efficient with great recommendations and the wine was excellent. Worth the hairpin bend in a big car to get to this restaurant.

Owner of hotel is there, a nice woman who politely slapped my wrist at the table for feeding her cute doggie, I felt like I was with my own Auntie! She helped us do our laundry in the hotel owned adjacent laundromat while we ate! Food was super, prices fair, service slow as it is everywhere in Spain,,just a cultural thing. Best part was sitting on the terrace overlooking the river below as we ate!

Went for lunch with my family and the food was really good. Honest home cooking, no fuss, just let the food speak for itself. Service was attentive, but hovering. Just right. My niece had an accident, and all was dealt with smoothly and quietly. We chose our meal from the set menu, and were all v happy. Thoroughly great value for money.

Comimos como entrantes una ensalada templada de chipirones y unas croquetas de queso con cecina, y de segundo un chuletón. La comida estaba buena, pero no nos pareció excelente. El camarero fue muy amable.

At the end of the restaurant is a little patio with some sitting filled with beautifully arranged flowers, mostly hydrangeas. Everything seems carefully arranged and what I presume is the owner oversees it all with just the right amount of attention without being overwhelming. The food was great, and she readily accommodated my lactose intolerance while maintaining excellent quality.

Once you find this place, you'll be surprised and rewarded. Although set in a rural, out-of-the-way corner of norther Spain, the team turns out beautifully-presented, top-quality meals with very good service (English can be a bit sketchy). Only two tasting menus were available when we went, because it was only the second day of service in spring 2019. Try the wine/cider pairing for the full experience.

Enjoyed friendly service and great views from terrace. Food was fine. Nothing special. Egg yolks very orange- always a good sign of organic. Price is right.

We called in at this restaurant after a walk from the Area Recreativa. It is in a lovely position, being away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, and with a lovely view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. As one of our party was a vegetarian they told us what dishes were appropriate and also said they could do a mixed grilled vegetables to go with it. Good food, great location with easy parking and varied menu. Not to be missed.

Tuesday 28 May, Dinner. We are the only 2 diners. Starter of clams (almejas) - Euro 28. Main of 'kingfish' (Rey) - Euro 72.As with the Emperors New Clothes, a reality check is needed here. This is crude un-adorned cooking being sold at grossly inflated prices. One example of a far better bet is Sibariz where you get refined cuisine at less cost.Gracias por su opinión, siempre digo que cuando se sale de viaje es muy importante saber donde dormir comer etc no es lo mismo primera lÃnea que un menú del dia que un rey o un albergue sin desmerecer nada, tenemos 25 años de experiencia que es muy difÃcil de conseguir con el mismo restaurante, es muy fácil criticar con una visita y hacer daño, sin llegar a pensar que necesitaban otra cosa o saber el precio del mercado de ciertos productos, sin más agradecer a todos vuestra confianza y una abrazo Jose
