This restaurant was highly rated, especially for its mussels. Unfortunately, my husband became quite ill after ordering the mussels. The rest of us had the seafood stew ( which also had mussels and was quite delicious) but all it takes is one!

Bistro at a shark farm that serves local food with amazing view. Our signature disk is shark fin soup.

I went in this bistrot after visiting the museum . I tried for the first time the shark soup and it was such a beautiful discovery ! It was really tasty ! My friends had the goose burger and cheese burger, they both look so yummy ! The owner was really nice with us and he suggested us the best spots around the area ! We spent more than 2 hours in the bistrot and we enjoyed the amazing view from the window ! So if you will be around the area , this is a must stop! Thank you so much to make our day so special ! See you soon !

Best lunch of the entire road trip around Iceland & what I crave now that I’m home. The fish was crunchy and the fish and chips were perfectly salty. Yum!!!

I had the scallops and my husband had the cod. Both were very delicious! The scallops came with a little fried piece of lamb (fat?) that I didn’t care for. Also my husbands potatoes that came with the cod tasted like maybe they were cooked in wine. Left potatoes tasting almost sour. The main elements of the dish were delicious!

Sjavarpakkhusid

With stunning views over Stykkishólmur harbour, the restaurant specialises in expertly made, locally sourced and seasonal food, accompanied by a good selection of beers and wines. We are extremely proud to work with local fishermen, farmers and breweries

What a great find this was for a delicious and fresh seafood lunch or dinner. It is a cozy charming place, located right across the street from the fishing dock. The service was great and the portions were generous. The prices were moderate per crazy Icelandic standards. My husband had the fish stew which was loaded with all sorts of goodies. Their desserts were fabulous also! Definitely stop there for a meal when you are in Stykkisholmur in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
