En arrivant dans le centre animé de Pont Aven longez la rivière nous sommes au calme sur le port face aux bateaux.
Definitely a seafood restaurant. Nice varied menu, good choices but you are here for the seafood particularly the shellfish. Arrived for lunch, good seating available on Friday mid-May. Nice menu and good mdj but they were very friendly and happy to take an order for a dish not on the main menu. We were only there for the oysters and langoustines so combine a simple salad and a hreat meal was had. What more can you ask for, a simple seafood meal, reasonably priced, pleasantly served over a reasonable time span? Full marks.Thank you very much from the entire team. It is thanks to customers like you that we love our job. A big thank you for your encouragement. We will be delighted to welcome you again. I first got acquainted with Anne De Belon by watching Anthony Bourdain's " no reservation" show on Brittany, being originally from Brittany and an oyster connoisseur I made a mental note for my next trip. Riec Sur Belon is not on most tourist's map when visiting Brittany unlike her 2 neighbors; Pont Aven and Concarneau but if you're close or willing make a special trip to taste what is often referred as the best oyster in the world you won't be disappointed. From the center of Riec Sur Belon you'll drive about 3 miles on a small country road that will take you to the Port (harbor) Belon (if you're not sure follow the sign " chez Jacky" a well known seafood restaurant, overpriced if you asked me, that is 100 ft from Anne' oyster). Don't drive all the way down, park on the only parking lot above the harbor and walk down, take a right at Jacky's and walk another 100ft ( a dead end) to find Anne. Anne, a 3rd generation ostricultor was on the docks on this quiet, over cast, weekday when we walked in. Anne welcomed us with a warm smile and after sharing some educational information and fun facts about oysters me and my brother were ready to eat! We ordered 12 flat#3 and 12 Creuse #3 ( the number indicates the size). It was served with some fresh bread and butter, lemon and vinegar pearls and if your heart desire a cold glass of muscadet. A delight!!! So much flavor delivered, so good that we ordered another 2 dozens to go. When you visit Anne don't expect anything fancy, she still use all the traditional ways of cultivating oysters and most of the year there's only 2 people working, 5 for the summer months. The seenery is unbelievable seating on the dock looking down in the baie the whole experience was amazing. Prices are very good expect to pay from $7 to $9 per dozen depending on the size. If you like a plate of mixed seafood with langoustines, bigorneaux, crab, lobster and oysters its also available for less than 20 euros per person.

This seafood restaurant serves a variety of tasty dishes, including daily specials. The location is inside the Ville Close, but inside the restaurant feels like a real escape. The first-rate staff are among the most welcoming, friendly and helpful that I have encountered. The food and drink prices are reasonable. This is a popular place with locals and visitors, so it's a good idea to book, although I did manage to get a table as it opened in the evening.thank you for your comments that encourage the whole team Vauban LA DIRECTION

Checking for eat oysters we found the best. The service was friendly, the tables across the street have a view on the Belon river. The oysters was amazing in taste and freshness and the bottle of white wine "Muscadet/lie" was cheap and very good. The atmosphere was good with singing birds around. We really enjoyed this place and for sure we come back. If you like oysters that the place to go.

I first stayed in this hotel some twenty years ago. Little has changed since then and we enjoyed the view from the dining room and the seafood on the menu. The oysters from Belon were a real treat. The service is prompt and friendly. The cooking was skilful. We ate a leisurely dinner and felt that we were really welcome with no efforts to hurry us. The full dining room was witness to the deserved popularity of the restaurant. Bravo.

This oyster and shellfish restaurant is not easy to find - it appears out of nowhere at the end of a road leading to a rocky beach where oysters are harvested. It's energetic and busy, with friendly service staff and the chef presiding over the dining room. The turbot and coquille st Jacques are excellent. They sell oysters and other shellfish in the back of the restaurant. It's interesting to see them. It's a lively little place decorated with nice original Breton artworks. Well recommended.

Plus: lovely setting, terrace appealing, wine list pleasing.Minus: kitchen French fast food. The usual oysters, bulots (Chez Jackie much better). Entrecote and a fish. The doubtlessly charming atmosphere must have misguided Michelin testers into a recommendation. Not worse or better than many thousand similar places in France.
