Good quality dishes in a typically Portuguese restaurant. Became really busy so obviously it has good reputation. Cannot fault the quality of the cooking and given that we were sat next to a chiller cabinet, we can vouch for the freshness of the fish.The service was a bit haphazard, all the staff seemed busy so it was a little difficult to get attention and an extra request got missed from our order. Only quibble is the lack of any obviously kids dishes or portions. Our youngest (5-yrs) ended up having the largest, and most expensive, dish out of 4 of us.Thank you for your evaluation.

We wanted to try out some special seafood (like clam or crab) on our last evening in Portugal, and how lucky we were to choose Sotavento! We were total novices with this type of food, but the staff was super kind and helpful, they taught us how to eat our meal, bought extra napkins and made sure we have a great time in their restaurant. The food was also great, and I really recommend the fresh juices too.

I love coming to Kailua, the food is great and usually the service is good but today the service was really bad. I asked to 3 people for a drink and the first two kept saying this is not my area you have to wait for my colleague. After make the order to the 3rd server I saw him giving the order to the second server who was taking the order to the people who were sitting just besides me. Really disappointed with todayâs service.

Take the boat from Belém to Trafaria and have a meal at Casa Ideal. You will love to cross the river but on top, you can have a very tasty meal. Try the fish... we got "Polvo à Lagareiro" (grilled octopus with potatoes covered with Olive oil) and it was very very good and grilled Cuttlefish, very Soft and grilled properly. Great cold beer, tasty and homemade deserts. Honest people and mainly, honest food. Kind Service. Fair price for the quality we got. 38⬠2 pax. Recommended!!!

I visited this restaurant with friends and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. The service is phenomenal and the food is exquisite. I recommend the leitao. I would definitely visit again!!!

It is safe to say the prices are decent and service courteous. But this last time being with small children we were barred entrance, it was 11:45, they only open at 12:00.Pretty stupid!

The place was really cute just by the ocean. The service was outstanding and the waitress, Rachel, was very kind as well as very professionnal. Seefood was prepared with perfection and the sashimi quality was almost reaching the japanese standards.We warmly recommend this place.
