I got into a good mood the moment I entered this cafe. Local artists have pictures for sale on the wall, thereâs an old LP player playing songs from the 60âs, and the room smells of fresh coffee and delicious cakes. You can choose between many different types of tempting teas, and even the size of your cup («regular» or «gigantic»). And best of all: This is also a place where you can get your shoes fixed. Lots of nice and friendly service.

After complementing the chef we heard the fish soup recipe was handed down from his grandmother and the fresh fish is delivered daily. My husband couldnât get over how wonderful the fish and chips tasted. Highly recommend taking time visiting Alesund to lunch at Fisketorget!

Who would have thunk such a cute place would be inside the mall? Lots of comfy chairs and couches, chill music playing, a very relaxed vibe among the cute rooms with mismatched furnishings. A staff member kindly translated the Norwegian menu to English. I got the lobster tail salad with avo and my husband got the burger on this amazing seeded bread. Large portion sizes for each of us with lovely plating. We also got the Oreo cheescake. The only downer was the cost again- for two mains, a soft drink and a dessert, more than USD 50. Gulp.

Absolutely, undeniably the best tacos anywhere. We live in Southern California where tacos abound, but we have never had better tacos than at Evergreens. The fact that such good food comes from a food truck is remarkable. Wish we had Evergreens in Southern California! And the owners are a delightful couple as well.Thank you so much for checking us out and taking the time to review us! Thursday 6th September we climbed the 418 steps to the top and were looking forward to sitting and relaxing with a coffee enjoying the view.Unfortunately the coffee machine, at the outdoor cafe, was not working when we were here, so we ended up with 2 apple juices 40 Krone each (about £4) and 2 muffins 35 Krone each (£3.50), the whole lot came about £15.Thankfully the sun was shining and we were able to sit outside enjoying the views.

The food selection is fine, the dishes were freshly made but unfortunately the service that night was really really slow with no apologies whatsoever. Also booking is highly recommended or be prepared to wait. There is an outside seating as well but apparently they cannot serve food after a certain time the waiter said.

We had the set menu and it was an absolute treat - considering how expensive restaurants are in Norway one appreciated not only the innovative and high quality food but the setting.The restaurant is in an historic building,formerly a warehouse with exposed beams - the furnishings and art work add to a wonderful ambienceWe had a very unique dish which was sumptuous - a lobster pie part lobster part bisque with a layer of pastry on top The polish sous chef who was in charge that night gave us his time to explain our dishes.The overall service was exemplary You do not need to look elsewhere once you have experienced this restaurant

We left Apotekergata No 5 with mixed feelings and we will not come back. We took the 3 course menu. Excellent fish and other food, dessert too sweet. However, our main issue was the restaurantâs attitude. Identical menu for everyone at the table means vegetarians, vegans and others need to align. Extra charge for an change of courses e.g. replacing dessert with cheese. Less than perfect service e.g. no cutlery for main course, not handling of complaints. Overall not a remarkable performance.Hi!That is not completly true, all allergies & diets are taken care of without us charging the guests.It is true that we do the same amount of dishes for everyone around the table.We are sad to see your comments and would like you to visit us again to give you a diffrent point of view.I have spoken to the waiter that had your table and you have quite diffrent stories. It is easier to fix problems straight away at the table instead of not saying anything and wait until you have left.

We were referred to this restaurant by a family member and I was personally unsure of the the main menu choice of bacalao but we dove into the dining experience and were well rewarded. The guys shared the Royal Bacalao (2 person selection) that features 3 varieties of Bacalao and it was more than enough for them. I had the Spanish Bacalao and my daughter had the Parmesean Bacalao. The servings were plentiful and flavorful and the service was attentive. Somehow our reservation that was made by our hotel was not to be found upon arrival, but we were seated, albeit not in a prime location to fully enjoy the harbor views. My tip is to 1) make a reservation 2) ask for prime seating near the window 3) try the Bacalao! People do dress up for this restaurant, but men can get by with a nice button down or polo shirt and women a dressier blouse and black capri's or sun dress. I would not recommend shorts for guys or gals for evening dinner.
