Service was slow but the fantastic food made up for it. We had Calzones and they were so cheesy and crust was thin and crunch. Never had them like that but it was excellent. You could make your own or choose from the specialty ones on the menu. Also the pizza was wonderful with thin crust in a rectangle shape vs the typical round shape. Lots of toppings, no skimping here. Loved the apps that thru the week they offer them for $5.00 which was a big draw for us. We had the loaded fries and cheese sticks. Loved both of them and recommend the cheese fries.

We ate out as a family...enjoyed the delicious meat and cheese ravioli, a steak sandwich with fries, and a white pizza with broccoli and onion. Everyone loved their food. We moved to this area several months ago, and left behind the one restaurant that sold a white pizza. Vinny's serves one, and it is delectable. I ate three pieces instead of my usual two. The large was about 16 inches, so plenty to take home. Our waitress noticed my hungry and getting restless preschool aged grandchildren, and brought us great breadsticks and garlic bread. She was very attentive and helpful.

We were exhausted after traveling up from Charlotte area and visiting a few historical sites. We wanted comfort food. We have gone to Italy several times and did not know what to expect in Lynchburg VA, a rather smaller town for us.We were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and fast. We never had to wait on refills or special requests. The owner came over and chatted with us. He is from Italy and bragged about how his menu is authentic.While we found a few differences (mainly to using American ingredients), we were extremely happy with our meal. The pasta dish, Penne Caprice with GF pasta, was excellent. The pizza (regular dough, not GF) was really good according to my husband. We had a small salad and soft drink/tea (which were refilled promptly). The area (where we asked to be seated) seemed a bit noisy, but close to the door so we did not have to walk far. This seemed to be a family style area with lots of kids.We would eat there often if we lived in the area. For weary travelers, this was just the food we needed after a long day.

Made a quick stop here after a ball game. Pleasantly surprised. You can make your own personal pizza or choose from a few of their custom recipes. The staff were super nice Nd courteous. Very nice environment for families or kids. I also was impressed with the drink selection. I had a hard time picking what I wanted. I also got the smores dessert which was delicious! I recommend this place!

This is our go-to eatery when we are in the Lynchburg area. Over the last few years we have sampled many different pizzas and appetizers, occasionally have room for dessert. Recently we tried a sandwich. For the most part all are quite tasty with only one (recent) disappointment (Mac and Cheesy Pizza - too little Mac and Cheese and just not "there" on the flavor scale).We were at Waterstone three times the last two weekends and each time were disappointed in our service - slow and inattentive. Usually there is a line out the door with a wait for a table, not these times, twice we walked in and were seated right away. Is there something going on we don't know about?Thank you for your review, Melissa! We are thrilled to hear that we are a go-to for when you're visiting Lynchburg!
