2 out of 3 visits very poor customer service. Last time, phone number taken down and was way off and order was lost. When they discovered it, the pizza was supposed to have sausage, mushroom & pepperoni but the pizza maker opted for his own version. He made it just sausage and cheese, way off. I was offered discount but was told to wait extra 20 min. Total of 40 min for Little Cesars... I refused because pass Pizza Hut and Mountain Mikes on the way.
We had a large number of pizzas delivered for an event. There was a good variety of choices, but none were necessarily anything to write home about. Of course, I'm effectively writing home. In summary, average pizza.
Just moved here and was busy unpacking so ordered a bunch of pizzas for the crew and of course some chicken Alfredo, which was delicious, and the pizza was great too, and I got a discount and the staff was friendly
Round Table Pizza is one of those great restaurants that have evolved into something even better. Its new theme is âPizza, Pub, & Playâ. This new location had its soft opening Wednesday January 15th, 2019 at 11am and since then it has been slammed, especially today, its first Saturday since opening.Los Banos had a very small Round Table Pizza âRestaurantâ years ago, but it was shut down for âlogisticalâ reasons and not for lack of business, great service or great product. Now Los Banos will get an exclusive Round Table Pizza âClubhouseâ to celebrate the 60th year of Round Table Pizza. The Clubhouse is a relatively new format of Round Table Pizza restaurants, with the usual great California style pizza at the forefront, but the âClubhouseâ integrates âPub & Playâ features which are missing in most pizza restaurants, along with the expected great pizza. The âPub & Playâ features are based on the English âPublic houseâ, a place where families can go for a great, value-oriented meal and children and adults can play the latest arcade games and watch big-screen TVs with sports programming as well as an expanded menu and craft beer selection. This is a very casual local-ish pizza chain, and is BY FAR my most favorite place to get pizza! I am only in the small town of Los Banos once a month, but I always make a point of eating here. The atmosphere is casual and the associates are friendly; the price is the same for all pizzas because they only have one size of pizza... medium. A two-topping pizza (made in front of you with your choices) is $6.95. I love the thin-crust cornmeal dough. The salads love fresh, and they offer small desserts that I haven't tried yet. You can eat in the restaurant, outside on the shaded patio, or take out. You can also order and pay through their app.

A well-established local restaurant is rarely reviewed later in its lifecycle, unless it is a reputable family-run restaurant with great core food and a business that has continually evolved and improved after listening to its customers. Little Diamondâs Pizza is that restaurant and is now a âgemâ in the sea of pizza restaurants in the Central Valley, and no longer a âdiamond in the roughâ. It is one of those great local family-run restaurants that has transitioned from the earlier days as J & N Restaurant, which was more of an Italian deli and pastaria, and evolved into something even better: clearly now the best pizzeria, soup, and salad bar restaurant in town. Historically, pizza was originally a non-meat âpiccola tortaâ or âlittle tartâ that was made by a nineteenth century Neapolitan chef named Raffaele Esposito. Raffaele was called upon, by royal request, to make a small hot appetizer (instead of the more common and cold antipasti) for Italian King Umberto and Queen Margherita of Savoy when they visited Naples in 1889. Umberto and his wife insisted upon a lighter healthier snack that had no meat and good structure and flavor. Raffaele wanted to honor the Queen, so he made the first "Pizza Margherita", which was topped with fresh âtomato, mozzarella cheese, olive oil and basilâ, to represent the vibrant colors of the flag of Italy. Thereafter, the rest of Italy only honored this appetizer dish on special occasions, since pasta in various serving sizes was still the ânumero unoâ main staple dish. Little Diamondâs has upheld and extended this Italian tradition by serving smaller slices of crisper and lighter crust flavorful âlittle piesâ or pizzas to replace the much heavier pastas, especially during the summer months in Los Banos. Originally, and out of respect for the Roman Emperor, an Italian king, or âCaesarâ, they wanted to rename J &N Restaurant to âLittle Caesersâ Alas a fast-food chain already had trademarked that name, so they pivoted the business name to âLittle DiamondsâLittle Diamonds was visited on a Thursday at about opening time around 11 am (note that they are closed on Tuesdayâs during the slower months). For travelers arriving in town on SR152, you simply head north on 6th street towards downtown and the restaurant is about a quarter of a mile on the left-hand side and almost opposite to the Chamber of Commerce. It was a surprise, based on a sign outside, that they had reinstated their famous and great value lunch buffet during the week. Even more surprising is that they had reduced the all-you-can-eat salad bar and pizza buffet price by a dollar and added two homemade soups to the buffet, making it the best value lunch buffet in the area. The place looked very clean and spacious with very good lighting. After establishing a seat near the buffet area and starting with a cup of the Tuscan style Tomato Basil soup, which had fresh tomato, cream, and basil pieces, the soup du jour was sampled next. The piping hot Lemon Chicken soup had chunks of chicken, rice, and unusually good and well-cooked slices of citrus rinds, a Mediterranean soup delicacy that you rarely find in California. After settling for another cup of the signature Tomato Basil soup, which is now considered the best restaurant-made tomato soup you can get in the Central Valley, and maybe even the whole of Northern Californian (with apologies to other chefs!), the salad bar was next.The extensive and colorful salad bar has as much variety as newer and larger franchise-based pizza chains (with either circular or rectangular tables), but the really good news was that everything was served very cold and fresh (like it should be to prevent food-borne illness), wasnât overloaded (to prevent spoilage) and was available as part of the buffet lunch at a much lower price. During the time of having the soup and salad, not one, two, or three, but âfiveâ fresh medium 12â pizzas divided into thinly into 12 perfect slices were brought out to the buffet by the seasoned owner/cook and placed under the perfect temperature heat lamps. First out was a pepperoni, then a cheese, followed by a diced ham and pineapple, then a meat combination, and then finally a chicken pizza. All of them were sliced bite size and on evenly browned crispy and a light oil-free crust with fresh stringy Mozzarella string cheese that would even make Lady and the Tramp switch from pasta to pizza. After one slice of each of these âlittle piesâ, like the Italian King & Queen of Savoy, the customer was totally satiated.So where is the traditional and original Queenâs Margheritaâs pizza? Donât worry, it is on the menu along with seven other âspecialtyâ pizzas that can be ordered to eat inhouse or to go. In addition, they offer gluten-free crust on all their small 10â / 10 slice and large 14â /14 slice pizzas, and with gluten-free flours there is even more structure, lightness and great flavor. Vegetarians and vegans can also easily be accommodated upon request. But it doesnât end there, since the managers named Junior and German, along with their father who is the primo and experienced pizza chef, will make âanyâ pizza to order. But if you really want to break with tradition or feed a larger family you can also order an extra-large 20â / 20 slice pizza that comes in the largest pizza box seen in the world. At the other end of the size spectrum you can order a smaller 8â / 8 slice personal pizza, but clearly the best value during the week is the lunch buffet. The signature house pizza is the Mexican pizza with avocado and salsa, which can also be ordered as a personal pizza for a dollar more and will be tried on the next visit.In summary, this place easily goes up against the now defunct Vesuvioâs Pizzeria in Santa Clara and the still existing and iconic House of Pizza in San Jose in terms of quality and value. It absolutely puts the chains and franchises to shame.
