Diaz spill & lunsjbar

This has been rebuild in 2014 from a former kiosk. Now it is a cafe/restaurant/ pizzaplace. Homemade dishes from hamburgers, soups, wokdishes, omelettes and more! In addition we serve fresh baguettes with optional food. We also have the largest selection

We stayed one week in Geilo going through the restaurants that had been getting the best points in Tripadvisor. That meant that we visited places from simple cafes to the only fine dining kind of place in town.Even though I take food seriously I normally rate only hotels - restaurants only if I think that I notice something out of ordinary. This time the combination of the taste of food (especially in relations to the the affordable pricing: so, do not expect fine dining, but the food is well prepared and tasty) in combination with the level of service made me to pinpoint this place to you. I have done my career in client relationship business and I know how difficult it is to find the balance between polite, friendly, attentive and yet not prentendious serice, but the couple runnig this restaurabt certainly knew how to do it.Do not be discouraged by the frot door - it does look like a kiosk, but the restaurant part is comfortable and the views very nice

Two adults and two children enjoyed Dr Holms burger and the children's burger. The interior isn't that interesting - look's like a tweaked Burger King - but at our table everyone was happy with the burgers and their chips. It contains all key ingredients and the bread seem to be made form whole grain flour. We've been there before and must concluded that these "flippers" knows their burger flipping business. I've read from other reviews that the other offerings are not that good - might be possible as the kitchen doesn't appear to be that advanced.

Peppes Restaurant

Reviewed By apolarbearsjourney

The buffet is definitely the best choice here - fairly priced and new pizzas arrive frequently. If you order something you better have a lot of patience, because it takes a long while. Staff were slow to clean up after guests who left, and seemed to not know which tables were free when new guests arrived. Also it seemed most of the waiters/waitresses did not speak Norwegian, which made ordering a bit tricky. At least we got what we ordered this time, which we certainly did not last time... The restaurant had few toilets, so we ended up at the mall's guest toilets instead (downstairs from Peppes), big mistake as the toilets were really really dirty and lacked both toilet paper and soap! All in all we have given this Peppes 2-3 chances and I am unsure if we will be back, even though this visit certainly was better than last time.
