We spent a Saturday in late August here and had a fantastic day of rafting with the great guys at Serious Fun! A great experience for the whole family! Marianne provided great help and service with a big smile, the guides from Zimbabwe were very experienced from many rivers around the world. They were nice, funny guys that made everyone feel comfortable and confident. Chris was our guide, and he was a really great guy! Busdriver/photographer/safety-guy Jacob was a blast, really spreading laughter and a good mood.
We can safely recommend Serious Fun for anyone who wish to experience the adventure of Whitewater Rafting!

We've recently returned from our first trip to Norway. It was amazing! One of the things we wanted to do while we we're there was a night snow show hike. We arranged this through our hotel 'The Bardoloa' (also brilliant) and was put in touch directly with Jeff who was to be our guide.
Transportation was arranged and we were taken from Geilo to Haugastol, a short car journey away. Jeff helped everyone fit their snow shoes and supplied us with powerful head torches, and we we're off.
Walking though the deep snow in snow shoes, was great fun. Jeff, led the way with a sledge loaded with everything we needed for the hike.
On route Jeff pointed out any interesting animal tracks, or particular areas of interest. He was very enthusiastic, energetic and entertaining at all times.
Part way through through the hike we stopped, Jeff prepared a fire, and walked us onto the frozen lake, showed us how to drill through the ice to create a hole for fishing. The drilling was great fun, to be standing on solid ice one minute, and then water coming up through the hole the next, was surreal. We didn't manage to catch anything, but we had great fun trying.
In the meantime Jeff had got the fire going, shared some hot chocolate and we roasted sausages and falafel in the fire. Sitting under the stars, with the fire going, in the Wilderness surrounded by so much snow, and civilisation a long way away, was a special moment that we'll never forget.
I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Jeff and the snow shoe and ice fishing hike. Jeff was friendly and extremely knowledgable, and took us on a great hike up through the snow covered hills surrounding the frozen lake. Make sure you wrap up warm, wear lots of layers and wear good snow boots and of course take your camera. iPhones seem to freeze up, so don't rely on those. Our children we're Both over 10 and coped well, but it's a long walk and you'll be out for 5+ hours, so not necessarily recommended for any children younger than that. We're already planning our next trip, and we'll be sure to contact Jeff again for another amazing experience next time were in Norway.
Thanks Jeff!

Went as a family of 4 with two teenage girls. Had an fantastic time. We did the 2 hour trip with about 45 mins on the lake, which was a perfect length, any more and we would have been too cold.
The dogs are so keen and the sledding was very easy. Amazing views from the middle of the lake.
Get your camera or phone ready before you set off, and make sure you have voice activation set so you can just say 'cheese' without having to take off your gloves.

With a burst of good weather on the cards, we were really keen to get out onto the water in Geilo. We weren't looking to go on an activity-day or tour which appears to be Full On's speciality, but I called anyway to see if they would rent out some Kayaks.
The answer was immediately yes - we arrived ten minutes later, two kayaks were strapped to a trailer and my wife and I were driven up to Skurdalsfjorden with all the equipment needed. All the staff at Full On were happy to oblige and nothing seemed to be an inconvenience.
Vojta handed us his phone number and simply said 'call me when you're ready to be picked up' and we spent the rest of the day paddling around two beautiful lakes.
We had the entire place to ourselves and enjoyed every minute. This was made even more pleasant by the friendly, flexible and accommodating staff. Highly recommended. Thanks for making our holiday even more fun!

Well organised and fun activity. Unfortunately due to extreme snow-melt the last few days the water was very high so we couldn't use the usual area, and so went further downstream and did a shorter run twice.
Helena was a great guide and there was huge focus on safety. It was great fun and no where near as scary as I thought it would be.
Would love to go again.

When I first came across this, I pictured myself sitting calmly while being dragged across the snowy tundra by a few husky dogs. Upon arrival I realised that I was the one commandeering the sled. I am going to be honest and say that I fell down a few times in the snow. But despite all of the falls, I must say that I absolutely loved the experience. The dogs are really well trained and will stop if you fall down. And the landscape that I got to experience when I was upright was just breathtaking. I must mention that one the reasons why I fell was because there wasn't enough snow when I went to geilo and therefore the ride was slightly bumpy at times. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would recommend this to others visiting Geilo.

This area had good slopes for all levels ranging from green slopes for beginners to black mogul slopes for the more advanced. There are even jumps and rails. the slopes are groomed overnight so they are particularly pleasant to ski on in the mornings. One thing I would say is that the area is not very big so once you have stayed there for a week, you know all the slopes very well.

Geilo Holiday

Geilo Holiday creates attractive experiences all year in Geilo, one of Norway's most visited tourist destinations. Geilo Holiday offers a complete ski resort, summer park and a vast variation of activities and accommodation.

Reviewed By Kevin B - Bergen, Norway

The great thing about skiing in Norway and particularly at Geilo is that you often have large areas of the mountain to yourself. It is generally only Norwegian voices you will hear, if any. Unlike the popular ski resorts throughout Europe, these Mountains are not overly crowded.
This allows you to peacefully go about your day of skiing without fear of cutting others off or having the same done to you.
The runs are not epic long efforts like you get in the Alps but they are certainly enough to enjoy yourself and make for a special day.
