Who knew? An excellent and authentic couscous restaurant in Laon's medieval city with a wide selection of meats that can be chosen to be served with your couches and vegetables, or you can get it just vegetarian. In addition to the couches, there is a menu of other north African dishes/Tajines so everyone should be able to find something. In addition to mint tea, we had an excellent Algerian red to complement our meal. Reasonable prices complete the package!

On passing through, this was the first place we saw with signs of life. Once inside, it revealed a clean and tidy restaurant that was relatively full at lunchtime. Numerous locals looked to be having a good time; the omens were good. The rapid service was appreciated at lunch. time. Wanting something light, I ordered a vegetarian Tagine. This arrived piping hot, served in the Tagine base. I found the portion large but rather bland; rather too much celery in it.The Tagine darkened with age and use, as I ate downwards revealed a large crack across the whole vessel. In turning it around, the outside had a slight raised part which on inspection turned out the be the screw mechanism of a large jubilee clip which encircled the whole Tagine, clearly holding it all together.The size and potential depth of the crack raised my concerns about the possibility of picking up something very nasty. I reassured myself that the heat of the oven probably would have dealt with any pathogen: only time would tell! In fact I was fine but was mindful of the risk for the rest of the day. If a restaurant is so cavalier with hygiene, it raises questions about their whole approach in the kitchen. This may not have been surprising in a third world country but I could scarcely believe it in France. My final regret was that my very poor French could not allow me to express my disgust to the staff.

Je voulais du kebab au poulet, c'est ce que j.ai annoncé au patron en rentrant, mais j.avais mal compris les photos. Je ne savais pas que sur l.image choisie comme mon mari c'était du poulet au curry cuit à la plancha (rien de précisé!). Le patron avait l.air pressé de fermer à 14h et n.a pas pris le temps de nous expliquer. Nous ne sommes pas habitués de ce type de restauration. Il aurait du me dire attention si vous voulez du kebab au poulet il n.y en a pas dans ce menu là . J etais donc decue et le patron m.a dit c'est du poulet aussi alors ca ira comme ca. En gros c'est comme ça et puis c.est tout. Okkkk....Sinon c.etait bon quand.meme mais il manquait des legumes, pas d.oignons, de mais ou autre, juste un.peu de salade et 2 fines tranches de tomate... de plus la sauce blanche n.etait pas fans le pain mais à côté...En résumé ce ne sont pas les meilleures pita/kebab que j ai mangées.

Quelle déception que ce Nabab Kebab. Les prix sont hyper élevé pour un kebab. Le service est médiocre, j'ai eu l'impression de faire ch*** car je ne connaissais pas les plats. La viande est de moyenne qualité, la viande artisanale et mal cuite. Même au Quick à côté la nourriture est plus mangeable. Et je ne parle pas du Drive où il faut attendre 30 minutes pour avoir son kebab !
