This was the first visit for four of us, so we purposely over-ordered in order taste more of the offerings. Both appetizers, Aushak (vegetarian) & Mantu were excellent, tho' I preferred the Mantu. Borta (much like baba ganoush) was superb. Salad was very tasty. Of the four entrees, lawan challow was probably our favorite, though nothing wrong with the chicken kabob. Qabuli pallow and sabzi challow, both lamb shank dishes while good were not my favorites. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Make no mistake, Didar is fine dining and all that entails: great Persian cuisine, very nice ambiance, and friendly, helpful, efficient service. The dinner menu contains a number of kabobs, salads, stews, eggplant and yogurt entrees, and Iranian traditional favorites like lamb shank. The eggplant with pomegranate sauce was delicious, as was the lamb shank over saffron rice mixed with fava beans. Our desserts included a nice baklava with honey-like syrup and rose-water flavored ice cream with pistachios. There are Persian non-alcoholic drinks and a small wine list. The décor of the restaurant is very nice, - refined and quiet - and wedding receptions are frequently held here. Our server was most gracious and helpful in interpreting the menu. There is plenty of parking.

Everything tasted very good. Venus level was perfect. Temperature was perfect. But service was bad. Items came out in a random order with up to 10 minutes spacing between items. Only one server was attempting to timeshare between telephone answering, order taking, and food delivery. It wasn't working.Received the side order of spinach and cheese first. Then waited another seven minutes before the next food item came out.Servers clothing was dirty.
