It appeared that this location was suffering from a case of low staffing this particular evening. It was a Saturday night after 7pm and it appeared that there were not enough staff to accommodate the amount of customers. The head waitress appeared to be spread to thin and her timelessness suffered from it. Slow to get food to the table, forgetful about requests, slow to get the check to us when requested. It wasn't an awful visit and I'm not trying to speak badly of these folks but I'm sure they could do better (as they have in the past) with more staff during these dinner hours. Food was as I remember it to be (pretty good) and the facility was generally clean. Im sure a different time of the day would resulted in better more attentive service. I would still give them an A for the valiant attempt to please everyone at the same time.

Best Mexican food in the area, and value is unbeatable. Typical bill is under $20 and we are stuffed. They offer a nice sit down menu within delicious offerings, the chips and salsa arenât bad, and the main courses are great. Reminds me of Southern California. Get the California Burrito with steak and use the green salsa. Fantastic. Try it out, you wonât be disappointed.

Had an outstanding lunch today. The restaurant is counter service and they just opened last week so as expected, there was a wait, but totally worth it. First of all, it gave us time to really study the menu and try to decide. Everything sounded great. I ended up with the Sergeant Major quesadilla with chicken, my son had The Shaka burrito with steak, and my daughter had The Aloha burrito bowl. So much food! Everything tasted so fresh and had the best sauces. We would recommend any of these. The nacho bar gives you a choice of different salsas - you better like hot stuff to try the habanero salsa! All were delicious and we added a small cup of Queso for our chips that was delish! I think the Burrito Shak is a great addition to Swansboro!

This is a very average Mexican place. The atmosphere is nice, dining room clean and comfortable. Good service always, this time from Pedro. Chile rellenos were good, but the beef filling was extremely dry. Rice and beans were fresh and tasty. My friend really likes the potato burritos.

We ate here last year and figured May 5th may be too crowded 'cause the food then was soooo good. They did not disappoint the day after. I ordered something that was served in a cut-out pineapple and it was delicious! I was a little disappointed in the margaritas though. I am not a big drinker so I can usually tell if they're "overdone" or not. This one did not seem to have very much tequila in it at all, but if you want Shirley Temple margarita it was good for that. I'd still give this place high marks for the quality of their food and the amount of choices on their menu.
