Desserts would be enough, but Sweet Adventures offers much more, including some nice choices for "real" food, and a full range of adult beverages. Wonderful (sort of speakeasy) atmosphere, beautifully decorated. We went for dessert...apple pie was delicious. Many dessert choices, including some from our favorite bakery, Swanky Sweets. Hospitality and service were outstanding. ***Note***No wheelchair access.

This is a beautifully unpretentious bakery. They have a simple display case for their freshly-baked treats-du-jour, some cafe tables, a spot for doctoring up your coffee and that's about it. Their TV has a slide show of some of the custom cakes they have made.The focus here is not on offering the most massive selection. They have one or two different cookies, brownies and cupcakes at a time, and the variations of those rotate based on season, market, and whim. They also have some sort of croissant, scone, and layer cake daily, also subject to the baker's mood and the season. The day I visited, I had the layer cake (lime with buttercream) that was about as good as any cake I have ever eaten. Heavenly. And it would have been even better if I had waited for it to warm to room temperature. The scratch-made cheddar croissant was wonderful, and would have made a stellar sandwich with some rare roast beef and horseradish sauce, or turkey and thousand island... But I gobbled it up just the way it was. Yum.We saw a beautiful loaf of bread in the case, and wanted to buy it, but the patron in front of us took it, and it was the last one that day.I get the impression they do an awful lot of custom orders, and it would probably be a good idea to place your holiday order now.Staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable. A small operation, so if there are several folks there at one time, you might have to wait a few minutes. You will be glad you did!Thank you so very much for taking the time to write this review!! Went to this place for first time to meet family who live in the area for breakfast. Very plain decor masks the surprisingly delicious breakfast entrees and attentive and friendly service. We were asked if we wanted to try their fruit fritters for the group to share and We were so glad we did! They are made with fresh fruit of your choice and were decadent and heavenly!!!! Kids will be happy to know that they can make pancakes in the shape of a sea turtle. Our group ordered a variety of entrees; shrimp omlettes, corned beef hash and eggs, and veggie omlettes and a sea turtle pancake. Everyone raved about how good the food was. Reasonably priced too.
